If someone writes a long post, do you have the patience to read through and respond to it, (you know, long posts pay more than shorter ones)? or do you simply find another topic to answer?

usually when i am lazy and not in the mood to think of my response or comment i wouldn't hesitate to atlest skip them all since it depends on the discussion if it's hard to tell something right or prevent to be misinterpreted.last night i skip almost every discussion jusst to relax.

magic9 I read everything on the post, even if it take me 5 or 10 minutes to read. that person has something to say , and want someone to hear them , and get an answer. I don't think you get paid more or less for any post.

It depends on the time and such. Most of the times I do actually have the patience to read long posts on mylot. However, there are times when I don't have much patience to read the entire posts. I think that it really just depends on my mood, on the time in question, and such.

hello there magic, well, it depends entire on the content of the discussions with regards to my interest and it's quality, how ever if one does not count in the two then i won't have second thoughts on leaving the discussions. most specially if i have nothing else to tell them and don't have a darn include clue no how to respond.

Long posts can be irritating for most people, especially since most people have no time to read it, or no patience and they simply read the last line and the first line, then comment about that only. As for me, yes, most of the time, I do read all of the post, especially since I want to answer all the questions that he/her might have asked. In this way, you are deeply showing respect towards the person and appreciation for his/her detailed post. It has only been once or twice when I simply had no time, that I switched to a shorter, easier discussion to answer. I normally + long posts because I appreciate the hard work and time put into it.

Most of the time, I do like to read long discussions because they will sometimes have more than one point to give opinion on, which then makes my response longer, earning me more. It really should not take someone a lot of patience anyways to read through a couple of paragraphs anyways, and responding to the short, thoughtless, brainless, topics on mylot is only encouraging that behavior.

I don't have patience to ready very long posts on Mylot. I should admit that fact. But, I have some very long posts because of my interest in the subject. I don't mind reading it and respondin to it if it really interesting. Sometimes I read half or a portion of it and then read some of the responses to the discussion and start responding to it.

the first sentences of the post, particularly the first two, is the deciding factor. i do remember responding to only one particularly long post because it was written in a very nice way. i think if we have a little deficiency in english to just keep posts short since, quite understandably, it is quite trying on one's patience to just finish reading it. peace .

If I have time I do read long responses. Usually the long responses are pretty interesting when compared to the shorter ones. I like to read discussions in mylot, be it short or long. I post a lot less. I spend about 3-4 hours here and post hardly 20 responses. I like to read and understand people's responses. I get a lot of information from reading responses and sometimes get so involved that forget about responding completely.

Hi Mag, For me, it depends upon the story but not wether long or short the posts is. As I have observed, some posts with relation to family, friend and loved ones will take a longer elaboration so the readers would also similarly fathomed what the poster is talking about. At times we need to be understood that a concise and succinct posts can not give a detailed story one has yearning to see.

Surely I can't take a long, boring post. I would be more happy to have a concise short reply.

For me it depends on the topic. If i find the issue interesting and the way it was writen, then there is no problem no matter how long it is.However brief and concise post are still the best so long as the thought is not lacking.

To me, it really depends on what the post is about. If it's a long post with nothing but "Blah Blah do you pick your nose Blah Blah" than most likely I'll search for a different topic. But if it's a topic I can honestly answer to, and talk about, I will take the time to read through it and answer all the inquiries in the post. I tend to write long responses anyways, as I can be quite the chatterbox, haha! Especially if I'm responding to something that genuinely interests me.
