Tim Gleason from the Carolina Hurricanes took a stick to the face, from Ovie, got 30 stitches and then came back to the game and scored a goal!!! This guy is amazing. Who's the toughest guy on your favorite hockey team?

For the canucks, it would be our middle weight champion Rick Rypien! This guy is only 5'11" and 170 lbs. And he fights all the big goons on the other clubs. You should have seen him give a beating to Boris Valavik of the Thrashers. He is 6'7" 245 lbs., yet he was no match for the Rypper! Sportstalk radio call him the straw that stirs the canucks!

Ovie of course. This man is has the talent to be know for scoring alone but he also truly enjoys finishing his checks. He is the toughest guy on the Caps. With the Red Wings , I don't know. Bertuzzi was know for being a goon but I wouldn't call him tough.I guess if I Had to choose a Wing it would be a tie between The Mule , Franzen and Tomas Holmstrom. Both guys will sacifice their bodiesto defend the goal or to score.

Kinda like Ryan Johnson of th canucks. His job on the team is just to block shots.

I hope it was an accidental stick? As for tough guys, I always liked Doug weight, anybody that can play a play-off game with a seperated shoulder and then lift the cup above his head, defines tough. Aarron Downey was always a favorite too, he didn't care how big the other guy was he would drop he gloves and go.
