Do you like snow?

Snow! - Snow. It can be a wonderful sight for some, but horrible for others. What you must know is that it is cold and wet.

Hey mylotters! This is just a question I need to ask. Some people like snow and some people don't for various reasons, but I would still like to hear your thoughts on this. I love snow. It hasn't snowed here, in my country, since 1999, but the times when I went abroad and experienced the snow, it was like something out of the ordinary and I had a lot of fun with it; throwing snowballs, making snowmen, getting my clothes wet..., flapping in the snow and much more. So, my question for you is: Do you like snow?

Borg246 - Wow! Well the people that don't like snow most of the time has to be because they only see that all the time. On the other hand, I would love to be in their shoes but would love it. Of course I love the snow its awesome plus better when your a kid because school's out and etc. There's tons of things to do of course its cold but its fun. It snowed here once I think it was two years ago or so can't remember but I've seen, touch and play with snow since I was a little baby because we usually go see family members up north so its awesome. I live in Texas so the city I live in; its usually hot. I have tons of fun and when it snowed here in my hometown when we made snowballs instead of feeling it soft it was ice. LoL...so good luck to the people that got hit by snowballs because it hurt plus my cousin got hit on the head which was so funny that got hit by little brother. I love snow so wouldn't blame you.

Hi borg...It is so beautiful especially if you don't have to get out in it. I probably love it, because we don't get much snow in Texas. I still remember a night long ago when I was driving down the street that went in front of the college. It was a very wide 8 lane street. It was about 3:00am in the morning. It had just snowed and blanketed everything....

It's been my experience that most people who absolutely love snow do not have to live with an abundance of it every year. The rest are either kids who are glad to have a day off from school, snow-machine (snow-mobile) junkies or ski/snowboarding buffs. Now, don;t get me wrong, I love snowmobiling and some of the most relaxing times I have ever had were out in the woods in the middle of nowhere, late at night in a trail groomer, grooming the snowmachine trails in the northern Vermont trail system. but, when you have to trough through it daily, shovel it, drive in it and pt up with idiots who don't know how to drive in it, and deal with where to send your kids when they have the day off from school unexpectedly, it gets old pretty quickly.

personally I love the stuff, though here in uk we usually get snow around february. The only thing that bugs me about snow is people don't know how to drive in it, the rest of europe snow doesn't really affect them yet here in uk a bit of snow and the country grinds to a halt. But the snow itself is fantatstic.

Well, Im a snow hater. I cant stand cold weather, and snowing means that is the most cold moment of the year. Also snow in my country is hard, that makes the floor slippery and many people have accidents and break their bones because of having to go out after having snowed. Snow balls also hurt. I cant think of any good thing about snow, so I dont enjoy it.

HI mad tea party: here where i live it's always warm so that's another reason i'd like to go to a cold place for my vacation. I understand what you mean when you explain that snow means accidents and it's the most cold moment of the year, i am just thinking as a kid. At least when i was a kid i'd kill to play with snow. XD Lol. I think it's all about how we see the effects of snow. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day. -Alvaro.

I love snow,I live in south china. I even spend about RMB5000 to fly to North china to see the snow. It's very very exciting. The snow is about 50cm deep in the forest, very clear, very romantic.

Since I've been 16 and driving I have not loved it so much...makes me nervous to drive in it, but I loved it when I was younger, we had a medium sized hillside so it was great for sledriding, but in the past 6 years we've really not had that much snow in my state.

I'm in the middle. I love snow when I don't have to go to work or have somewhere important to go. I live in New York City and it is very difficult to get around in a lot of snow. Snow is really beautiful when you look at it from a window and enjoy the view and drink coffee or hot chocolate. It's also fun if you can play in it etc. If it didn't snow where I live then I would definitely miss it!

Yes I like the snow I like more when I was a kid. Playing in the snow was fun and wet. We would build snowmen and even make snow forts and have snowball fights. We had a hill by our house and used to going sleding everyday that it snowed.

Hi borg: I love snow as much as you do because as you have mention, it's not usual for me and when i think about snow i think it's all about fun but if it snows a lot in a country this could be a total disaster for the families and the economy thought. Thanks for making this question. I think i am going to look for other persons that would like to play on their vacations with some snowballs. Have a nice day ;) -Alvaro.

Yeeeeeeesssssssssssss! I love it. I love to play in snow, to walk in snow, to photograph snow. It's my favorite part of winter- without snow, there is no winter, I think. Snow is something wonderful and magical, it warms our hearts during the cold winter days, it symbolize the pureness and innocence of the nature, and makes it looks in a different way. Snow is maybe the biggest wonder of nature. And it's also very important in many four season countries, because it helps sowing grow faster and keeps it warm in the winter. The Eskimos also love snow , it is a part of their life, but as I nearly read, they have a very big problem, because of the Global warming, which changes the crystal structure of snow and makes it not so good and steady for building ice-houses. So there are many people in the world except for me, who love( not just like) snow. ENJOY IT!!!!!

Well yes i also like snow or you may say i love snow because i have experienced the snow very less , only 2 or 3 times when my day took my family to hills station in summer and i liked playing in snow but i was surprised to know that people who were living in hilly area don't like snow any more as this is nothing unique for them , one of the person said that you people like this because you experience it less but we experience it everyday so are not crazy about snow , so i think which thing is common at your place you start hating it or avoiding it .

Hi borg, for a person who lives in a temperate country where we totally don't have any chance to see real snow. Of course we love snow very much. That's why we always like to escape from the severe hot weather here and enjoy having holidays in countries where snowy landscapes are available. Last year we visited Turkey and we spent our 10 days winter vacation in certain snowy tourist sites. We paid a 6 days visit to Hokkaido in Japan two weeks back. There, the temperature was below freezing point. We had lots of fun playing in the snowy areas thought it's freezing cold outside. We had exciting snowballs combat. It's really cheerful to run on the snowy ground with snows getting down and regardless of our shoes and jeans getting wet We never felt tired to capture lots of pictures on the fascinating and unique landscapes. I liked standing in front of the window watching the beautiful snowfalls in the middle of the night Happy posting

Hi IKbooi , I also live in a tropical country with hot weather all year round . I have never seen the snow before untill last week .I went to Japan for a holiday . I was so excited to see the snow in Otaru Tenguyama. The weather was cold but was fun . Unfortunately I did not have my own camera , I was very sad and regretful . The scenery was so beautiful ! I will visit more cold countries next time .

Hi pinkychan, really happy to see you dropping by here. Yeah, we won’t have any chance to sight the genuine snow scene if we never visit to any countries during the snowfall season. I’m glad to know that you also love snow. That’s why you like to share with me your experience having fun in the freezing cold weather here Don’t be sad my dear. It doesn’t matter even you didn’t carry along with your own camera. I believe all your friends who got cameras are generous. They will share the pictures with you for sure. It seems that you did take lots of beautiful photos during the cheerful vacation. I enjoy watching the photos taken in the scenic sites with snowy white beautiful landscapes. They are really fascinating. But it's rather sad that my laptop having some problem at present. I will send it for repair later on. Take care

No I am not too keen on snow. But tend to make the most of it when it does snow as my youngest son who is three absolutely loves it so I tend to join in with him and my other children as we have snowball fights and build snowman. I just go with the flow I would not spoil their fun because I don't like it. We don't get snow that often in the UK but we did get some today but unfortunately it turned to rain. Trouble is when we get snow everything grinds to a halt so we are not too good with coping with it here. One of my friends is allergic to the ions in the snow so she does not like it as if it touches her skin she puffs up like a balloon so I can understand why she doesn't like the snow.

I love the snow! Seeing snow tells me "it's safe to go outside!" And I can go walking places again! I have a snow suit and coils for my shoes (so I don't slip on ice) but snow is the best! It's comforting to me.

Hi. It doesn't snow here in the Philippines being a tropical country. The only time I've seen real snows was when I went to New York in February of this year. I liked the experience of walking/sliding on the snow, throwing snowballs, etc. I really had fun and I wouldn't forget the experience ever.

Oh,my friends.I envy you so much. Here i am living aslo does not snow all year long.Though this is not the tropic area, the lowest temp is just 3-4 degrees. Therefore, staying here can not see the snow. I would like to travel to Hokkaido in Japan.Suppose that I could go there to spend my honey moon.HAHA

At first I admit I like snow but later living for many months in a snowing place is not fun for me. You need a lot of clothes, a strong walking boots and other stuff for protection from the cold. I cant enjoy snow much since I dont know how to skii because I'm not used to it.
