Hey I'd like to know what Guitar Brand and model you own and why ? I Own a Gibson Les paul Studio because I like the look, the sound and the fell of it. I would have prefered to get something like a Custom or a standard, but they were too expensive at the moment i bought mine.

A Les Paul?! That sounds SUPER cool. I always wanted to know how those things were, to play that is. I haven't played guitar in FOREVER but I have three of them. None of them are nearly as nice as a Les Paul, but I like mine. My first guitar was an Ibanez - for $200 at Guitar Center. The best part about it is how beat up it is (I used to play it SO much) and all of the punk rock stickers I put on it. lol. Then second guitar I had was a B.C. Rich, that I got an amazing bargain on ($100 - Craigslist) but it was kind of a crappy guitar. It sounded weird. My most recent guitar was an older Fender Strat, which I love the look of - as well as the sound. I miss playing guitar! wwaaa

Your fender strat, was it and American ? How do you like it ? I'm starting to look to buy myself one and I'm trying to know what others think. Anyway, as Xfahctor said, if you miss playing, you should start playing back. It might take some time to get everything back, but you can't forget everything.

I personaly play on a Jackson V rhoads series. It's well balanced, light wieght and I love the razor edged, yet still very warm sound and the neck just about melts in my hand. It's all stock, no additives, all original. I am also quite fond of charvel ( asister company) and washburns, Ibaneze is pertty good too. LOVE les pauls...especialy the older ones, before they started making the bodies in two layered pieces instead of a single piece. I just wish I could afford one. Im not such a fan of fender, REALLy don't like BC rich's, they look cool but the neck is ungodly comfortable.

Yea i know about the BC Rich's I thought they looked cool so I tried one, but after it was always slipping while I played sitting down and I really didn't like the feel, as you said. My friend bought one, but now he regrets he, because he bought it only for the look and he doesn't like it.

Nice! Worth a few thousand too if it's in good shape. It isn't one of my favorites, but it is definatly a rock standard and a genuine classic. Hang on to it.

I have like 10, my favorites are a classic Yamaha, and electro acoustic Ovation, a Washbur limited edition, and a les paul. All of them I bought because of sound and feel. I dont really care much about price. If I have the cash at the moment I get it! I just love collecting these beauties!

I have to agree, you can't put a price on a fine instrument. If you have the money to spend, get the very best you can.

I own a Fender Strat because I really like the feel and the sound of it. Plus, compared to other guitars, it's not that expensive! I also really like the look of the guitar and the way that it is set up. :) Gibson Les Pauls are nice guitars too!
