Hi there. How did your son do? I bet he had a blast?! :) My husband and I actually donated money to the Special Olympics of our state a few months ago. I have not volunteered because we don't have a local office here in our city... :(

I was a volunteer for the special olympics once and I was amazed. Some of these kids have some awesome talents when they put their mind to it. I think they feel a lot more comfortable in the situation where they are surrounded by others like them versus being with regular kids! It was a real treat to work with them. It really opened my eyes to kids that put their heart and everything they have into it and are so proud to finish not to win. i wish your son all the luck in the world!

I am trying to get my daughter involved in special olympics...she is a bit resistant. She is autistic and big on being around other people. We did get her to play Challenger Little League for a couple of years when she was younger. Good luck to your son...bowling is fun!
