I wouldn't know. I'd be asleep when it happened. lol. It's possible though. No doubt. People can walk, talk, cough, etc. in their sleep, so why not yawn?

Well, nice points. Among the 'etc.' there is one thing I would like to add - farting.

I would like to say one thing. We yawn because we feel sleepy. So, there is no point in yawning when we are already asleep. It is a wastage of energy.

Good question...lol I don't know. All I know is that my wife tells me that I snore(loudly) and occasionally talk in my sleep. I'll have to ask her if I yawn too.

well not sure .but since yawning is a reflexive response to lack of stimulation to brain or tiredness.i do not feel that we are capable of yawning in sleep.lets see if anyone else has a clue to it.

It is possible that your right. Sinec it is a reflexive response of our body. Maybe it is impossible to yawn in our sleep, Goo point.

I do not know, my friend do not talk about it, but my friend snore, i can not endure it. I often awake in deep night. It is terrible, i do not know how to deal with it.

You can do this. Make sure the air passage when he sleeps is free. No hindrance or something. The reason why we snore is because there is something blocking the air passage when we inhale. Reduce the height of his pillow. Or something to make his neck and head straight.
