My cats went berserk this morning!

I got up this morning to find several things knocked off the kitchen counter...one of which was a box of foil wrapped chocolate cherries that had scattered everywhere in the fall. One of the cherries was clear on the other side of the room, obviously having been used as a soccer ball at some point in the disturbance. We had given them a piece of tissue wrapping paper to play with; that had been torn in half and one half was inside and the other half was out in the garage. One of the plants had been relieved of three of its leaves (that I found), and there were three balls off of the tree (the only three low enough for them to reach) and a bow off of a present. Has this sort of thing ever happened to you?

Why do cats put on their best show while we are sleeping? Maybe because the candy and the Christmas tree would have been a "NO, no" had you been awake.

you are not alone. my cat does the same. she ruined my cross stitch pattern. She shredded it apart. She licked my meal last night before I had my first spoon. She climbed the Christmas tree to the top and bat ALL the decorations. She also jumps and climbs to our curtains as well. oH my, but I didnt get pissed off. Sometimes doing so makes her really cute. Instead of getting mad, I end up laughing of what she did!LOL.

I don't know what gets into cat's minds, but it is so much fun to see what they come up with next. I had bought a new Christmas tree that comes in three sections, and Willy decided to grab the tree top (which is about 20 inches long and weighs about 7 pounds) and race through the house with it. Khuay is my paper shredder. He loves gift wrap, tissue paper and paper towels. I will frequently find a "snow fall" in the kitchen when I forget to put the paper towels on the top shelf of the dish cupboard. He also loves laying in the Christmas tree, which is funny because the branches aren't that heavy duty to hold a cat sleeping in them. I have gone to the doctor's office or school and found something furry in my purse (quite by accident) and had the daylights startled out of me. In one of my college classes I reached in my purse for a pen (I wasn't peering inside the purse), grabbed something furry and threw it up in the air and screamed. It stopped the class for sure and when the object landed it turned out to be one of the cat's catnip mouses that had been made out of rabbit fur. He also has stashed the real thing in in my purse. I finally hung a hook on the wall so my purse wouldn't be available for his sweet little "gifts". I, at times, think that cats were put on the face of the earth to think up these wonderful little pranks to amuse their owners.

hio crimsonladybug when we still had our own house, our dog was the one who was foreever getting into the ornaments on the tree,he specially loved a set of bells I had hung on the tree.' he would hit them with his nose and set them to ringing then try'to grab them with his teeth. I soon moved those up higher' out of his reach. also he loved drinking the water out of the Christmas tree stand rather than out of his own doggie bowl. thus I had to keep refilling both his bowl and the one on the Christmas tree too.

ha, yeah my cat fly's all over the place. one time when she was little she climbed up in the middle of the tree. was so funny, all the lights and decors were all on the tree and she was caught up in the tree. had to disassemble the tree from the bottom till we got to her. was kind of funny at the time. glad she don't try while shes bigger, lol

Cats can be very destructive little creatures if you dont keep an eye on them. Especially kittens since they like to explore things and get into things that have no business in, but I do love my kitties. I remember one year, my kitten climbed up our christmas tree and knocked the whole thing down. I was peed off! My cats also get up on the counters when Im not looking. and there is sometimes hair everywhere, I know its gross. My one cat jumped up on the counter once and started drinking a pot of grease that we were frying chicken in! Gross I know lol. But never the less I love cats!

My kitten is always doing something fairly bizzare. A few nights ago he was up on the TV and knocked down the digital convertier box and all the other assorted mementos and curios that were there. His latest play toy has been a twist tie from the garbage bag. He has been batting that all over the place. He is a funny guy!
