People who read fairy tales must know that there are always happy endings.Besides fairy tales,I like to read stories with happy endings. But happy endings do not come easy.Back in life,There are few happy endings for everything.Realities cannot be compared with fairy tales.Do you stop believing happy endings?Or do you still expect a happy ending for everything?I always expect happy endings but Im also learning to accept unhappy endings.Pls share.

I think I would "hope" for happy endings, but I know that wouldn't be realistic, nor would it reflect real life. Sad, but true. So sometimes, even though disappointed or shocked, the bad endings no longer come as such a let-down in movies, books...or real life events. Good question :) Karen

You have the control of your own story. It is just a matter of the choices you make that will lead you to happy ending and unhappy ending. Sometimes if you give up, you will not reach even the climax (happiest moment).

I prefer truthful endings. if it is better that the story has a sad ending , then I will accept it. Tacking on a happy ending to some movies ruin the movie for me. Let's face it. Would Titanic be memorable if it had a happy ending?

NO NO a happy ending for every story is not accepted as we audience also need some change. As most of the stories have this sort of endings that is why making something new showing something unpredictable will be better

FAIRY TALES IS ACTUALLY A BIG LIE TO EVERYONE BECAUSE IT KEEPS US BELIEVING THAT THERE IS ALWAYS A HAPPY ENDING EVEN IN REALITIES, IT'S NOT. But for me, I always want a happy ending because it always makes me feel that everything would turn out to be okay and everybody would be happy, who doesn't want that anyway?I assume everyone wants to be happy.

Why bother to read a story that has a sad ending, or one of those where the writer leaves you guessing as to what did happen? I can get plenty of those from the news.

My life has been very far from happy. I wanted to and always dreamed of living happily in the end. after all the trials of life that I experienced, I always hope for happiness. hopefully my life can be a happy ending like in a fairy tale.

I beg to differ realities can be compared to fairy tales because they are the sum totals of creativity and people do unsual things and sometimes some crazy things happened and the outcome turns out to be a suprize! Clearly I still believe in happy ending cause there is a God above and prayers work. I am not at all believing that everything has a happy ending. Like you I have learnt to accept unhappy endings.

Quite frankly, my answer would be 'Yes'. Perhaps after watching so many movies and fairy tales with happy ending, I have become used to happy endings. I know that real life is totally different from movies or fairy tales.

If you expect a happy endingon every story you aren't being realistic. There aren't always happy endings. People die, people get sick, things go wrong. That is life. Children understand those sorts of things at young ages. Fairytales are good to read, but bad to focus on. Not everything is always that good. I totally agree with you.

Back in my childhood years, everytime I finished reading fairy tales with a happy ending I smiled and say I wish my life would be like a fairy tale. In my real life story I want to expect a happy ending of course. And I do hope I could have the power to make everything a happy ending. Until now I still believed in happy endings, I want to think positive towards life journey.

Of course I expect happy endings in life. Who doesnt? But of course there is always a down spiral moment where we are unhappy. We have to expect that too. EXCEPT its those unhappy times where we learn from them to grow become stronger so in the end, you can end up happy again. =]

I always expect happy endings for everything happens in my life. but that is not always the case. In real life there are so many sad endings like my life. We will not long for happy endings if we always have it, and we will not appreciate it deeply if we always have it. I know we will get tired of it in time. there are so many sad endings I have experience in my life. I long for happy endings. Maybe this is not the right time for it to happen to me. There is a reason why i have a sad endings, maybe because I made a mistake about my decision or it just have to happen. the good thing is there is always a start in every ending. Someday I will have my happy endings.

Nope. Im quite bored with those typical happy ending stories. However, I like those kind of happy endings where the story is made excellently that I wouldnt know if its going to have a happy ending or its going to have a sad/bad ending. I like those kind of stories that keeps me guessing as to what happens next and ultimately what happens in the end. It doesnt really matter if the ending is a sad or happy one, as long as the story in itself is great. Though there are those stories that I grow to like the characters as the story progresses that Id want a happy ending for them. I literally am quite happy if they had a happy ending. But sometimes the authors are a bit evil that they give the readers/viewers a very unexpected sad ending. I am quite frustrated with this, but the frustration just makes me happy all the more because only a few great books and movies make me feel that way.

It's never healthy to EXPECT about something but rather to HOPE. Expectations can bring disappointments whereas hoping brings surprises. So get ready for anything that is to happen and just be positive and willing to accept whatever is there to come.
