Hi, guys. This morning when i open my email i received an email notification of Limited Account Access from paypal. It says "As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity activity in the PayPal system. During a recent screening, we noticed an issue regarding your account..... To review your account and some or all of the information that PayPal to make its decision to limit your account access.... your account access has been limited for the following reason(s): Dec 21, 2009: Unusual account activity has made it necessary to limit account access until additional verification information can be collected." My Paypal account is unverified because i don't have a credit card and it's fine. I'm puzzled now because i have to complete some steps to remove the limited access: 1. i have to confirm my credit card. 2. my proof of address. I'm worried because i still have funds and i recently asked payment from my other online earnings. Due to limited access i can't receive payments, send or request money, electronically transfer funds from your PayPal account ad worst they might close my account. Anyone experienced this problem? Anyone can help? Or at least explain this thing? Need to solve this problem as soon as possible before my account will be deleted.

i am not sure if you already have resolved this problem of yours by this time. this is a bit old for 4 months that is why i asked for it. i am not sure it there was really wrong with your account but if i can remember well, i have also received one kind of this email from supposedly, paypal. i think paypal will not send emails like this and hopefully, they were not just from people trying to steal your money. i think i never send information for my paypal account through emails. i always do transactions with the site itself.

i have just reviewed my emails and found one message there that tells exactly the same as what you have got here. well, i remember, i just followed the instructions given there and follow the links and everything in the site itself. and if i can remember well, i had uploaded certain copies of documents to their site. and after some verifications, my account had been restored. i think you really have to get at least an eon card from unionbank which is connected to visa, if you cannot get a credit card, to verify your paypal account.

Hello there. I just checked my paypal account and they rejected the document i submitted. It's a bank receipt but still they didn't accept it. They're asking for a credit card link but they rejected it months ago. I was not the only one who become victim of paypal! My friends account was also closed for unknown reason! PAypal admin giving me a hard time to resolve the problem. I'm doing my best to resolve the issue but still they always reject the documents i submitted. Now, im thinking that rumors about paypal is true.

Hello. I tried to link my BDO card yesterday and i have to check my bank in 1-3 working days for the deposits from PayPal for verification then i have to log in to my PayPal account and enter the amounts. If the card doesn't work, I'm thinking of applying a EON card, my brother in law advised me also. Gosh! pretty sure I'll be addicted to online shopping if my paypal account is verified. I'm avoiding it. that is why i don't want my card to be linked.

Hello. I've read a lot of complaint about paypal that their account was also set to limited access and they also submitted the requirements that are needed to remove the limited access but it's all useless. I opened a bank account just to verify my PayPal account but yet my account was rejected. I decided to open a bank account for the reasons that it is a strong evidence that i own the Paypal account that was frozen but yet they rejected the information.

The problem with paypal is they are slow to respond and they request too many silly proof that you're the owner of that account. Like what happened to palmbux. I hope your problem will be resolve soon.

Just submit to them a copy of your national ID. I have experienced that and it took me some time to lift my access limit. It is for your safety. I gave them a copy of my SS ID

If the e-mail is truly come from paypal, then there;'s no need to worry. I have experience this one too several months ago. Just do what the instruction says and your done in no time. From my experience, the reason for limited access is that when I used two different IP address to access my account. It looks like paypal had a way of knowing what IP address we use while we access our account. And since I have use a different IP address, then paypal thinks that it is accessed by another person. Thus blocking some features of my account and an e-mail was sent to my e-mail informing of such incident. After clearing my limited access, I never accessed my paypal account from different IP address again.

Oh. Thanks for the hope. Yes, the mail is from paypal admin and i already contacted them regarding the issue and i received reply from them. I can't really provide them with those requirement because first i have no credit card and second i don't have any proof of billing that was under my name so i send them a message and they said they will inform my ASAP once they already review my issue. Maybe I opened my account using wifi, I'm using two connections though (DSL and wifi at home).

Hi simonelee, We have the same problem. I am also unverified due to not also having a credit card. I have did many things now just to answer this problem but still unverified. I did not use any electronic credit card that could be find in the internet for some reasons that i am so afraid to be scammed and some also needed money on their applications. I'm a student and don't have any income, that's the reason why I can't have my own credit card. I'm really frustrated right now for the fear of not having my payouts. I just started in networking. I'm trying my luck to have my own income for the sake of my educational needs. After all the steps that PayPal would ask you to do, all will come up into one hard solution for me(us); TO GET A CREDIT CARD but the big question is HOW?

My request to you would be to read the horror stories of paypal users at paypalwarning.com and nopaypal.com before you continue to use paypal...

I experience the same things as paypal say my account they believe have been access by a third party which is untrue they also limited my account until I verify it. I already complete the link debit card then still the paypal say they want more documents. I upload the necessary documents like a bank statement with my own name and address as a proof and a receipt from my internet connection which should not be latest not older than 6 months. Within a day after submission of the require documents they lift the limitation and I already verified. It is so easy you need to use the upload portion in the Papal website when you log in in your accounts and upload your documents.

Hi simone there is no need to panick, just send your bank account number or an Driving License for verification proof or send an photo copy of your identity but they should contain the same name and address which you have provided in your paypal account and they would lift the limitation after 3-4 days provided you havent participated in any kind of scams coz if you are receiving more funds to your paypal account more frequently then they would limit the account and check if the an original person is using the account or not.good day.

ITS A FRAUD!!!!! I had the same email and reported it by going to their website directly. DO NOT ENTER ANY PAYPAL INFO VIA EMAIL They look real it has the paypal name and everything, I will see if I can find a copy and show you what I received as it sounds exactly the same. If you have given them any details then contact paypal immediately, change your password for your account

Yes it pissed me off so bad, but there's a solution don't worry, all you have to do is scan a bill or something with your address on it, and upload the files on pay pal where it tells you to confirm location, it took me a day for it to Un-limit BUT YEA IT WORKED

Because of your account to somebody else monitoring activities to verify your abnoral,so the address and identity information.Put the things you can verify information on course to paypal. The best way is to call their customer service. Otherwise your account could be locked.

Having your PayPal account limited only means a few things. The only thing you have to be reminded of is to do the steps that they are asking from you right away. Most of the time it is either you have logged in from a different IP address for example and so for the security of your account, PayPal will ask you to verify your identity by adding and confirming your street address. There are times that you have numerous failed logins and thus it will ask you to complete a few steps. If you are from the Philippines, I do suggest to call the hotline but they will say the stuff I have mentioned so might as well just get an EON card if you are from the Philippines. If you aren't, check which cards you can add and I suggest to do it as soon as possible.

...Hi there simonelee, I think you should be very careful before you supply any credit cared information to anyone for verification, you should contact paypal directly. There are those out there ready to take that information and abuse it and you. The first commenter in your discussion was surely joking, asking you for bank account and credit card information, but it is not funny. Find out what paypal wants by asking them directly on their site, not through some email. I got something from yahoo, and I ignored it, as there are scam artists everywhere. Take care. Be vigilant with your credit card information. Don't get scared when you get messages like that. If your account is closed, you can probably reopen it in time, there is no emergency. Think before you act.
