Watches! Do You Usually Wear a Watch Every Day?

Is your watch a part of your dress each day? Would you feel lost if you did not have your watch on? Why do we feel we have to wear a watch all the time, if we do?

I don't wear a watch at all. I have my cellphone which shows me the time always. So, I never felt the need for a watch. The last one I had was a gift from my sister and ever since I broke it, I haven't worn another or gone to get this one repaired. I would like to get a new one for myself sometime in the future.

...Hi there cobradene, I used to hit the face of my watch on something all the time, and I think that is why I finally completely stopped wearing a watch. I would have one avaiable somewhere if I needed to know the time. I am not out in the public work force anymore, but once I stopped wearing a watch I was able to basically guess what time it was within a few minutes or so, you get tuned in or something I guess. You should probably get a Timex and a good watch that you only wear sometimes to protect it. The Timexes last a good while, are durable and inexpensive. Take care, thanks for your comment.

Hello! I don't wear my watch every day because it doesn't suit my every day cloth :) It's a very beautiful Vogue watch with small crystals (probably fake)so it's kind a glamorous to suit my every day casual cloth. I wear it when I really dress up for something ;) i used to wear it more ofter but now it's very dear to me and I try to look after it better and wear less..but If I would have a watch that is simpler I think I would wear it every day :) Have a great day!!!

....Hi there missweety, Thanks for sharing with us. Your watch sounds very feminine and very beautiful. I would agree with you that it is too elegant to be worn everyday. I am sure that when you wear your watch, it becomes a conversation piece because of its elegance. I have a black faced watch with a stone at twelve o'clock without any numbers, that I love, which is somewhat like yours, not Vogue of course. :o) Thanks again for your comment. Happy New Year.

I don't really wear a watch anymore. I used to wear one, when I was in high school. However, I stopped wearing a watch. I will occasionally wear one, but it feels a little uncomfortable around my wrist, as I don't wear one that often. I find that I don't really have a need for a watch anymore.

....Hi there dodo19, You and many other people, including myself do not wear watches. I stopped a long time ago, but I cannot remember why. I do remember always hitting my watch on something for some reason, and maybe that's why I just took it off for good. While I was in the work force I did carry a watch somewhere in something with me. I for one, since I stopped wearing a watch, can just about tell what time it is, without the benefit of watch or clock, as you probably can s well. I think you just get tuned in. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Take care.

.....Hi my_name _is_coco, I like those ring watches, they are interesting. I once had a watch that you wear around your neck on a chain. It was made like a small gold cylinder which opened from both ends to show a watch in the middle. It is lost in my house somewhere. Very interesting piece of jewelry. Neat, black ring watch, sophisticated piece. Take care, thanks for commenting.

I like to be always on time, and my school is pretty strict about being late, so I always wear a watch. Also in my previous job we couldn't be late even a minute, so that made me get used to wear always a watch. I admit that I often take it off and put it on the desk, as I don't feel comfortable wearing it all the time, and I take it away to sleep too.

..Hi there madteaparty, It reflects on you as a person who cares, I think if you are where you are supposed to be and on time. A watch helps naturally with knowing the time of day or night. I stopped wearing a watch a long time ago, can't remember for whatever reason. But I always had one somewhere on my person. I think there are some beautiful watches out there, in fact, I have a collector of a few watches that captured my attention, but I never wear one now a days. Thank you so much for your comment. Take care.

I dont necessarily wear watch when I'm at home but when I go out I see to it that I'm always wearing a watch. I always feel that I lost the tract of time when I dont wear a watch. It seems like that my watch is a part of my clothes.

...Hi there maria1081, I think you are like the majority of people, and like I used to be. I can remember in my younger days having different watches for different outfits. It was fun. I treated myself on my birthday once to a watch I just happened to run across, which was silver with three circles, which when you looked at it you would think each of the cicles were faces of the watch, but only one was the face the other two on either side of the face, were identical grooved silver cicles, it had a gray suede band, loved that watch. At any rate when I wore a watch, if I forgot to put it on, I felt as though I had left my arm home or something. :o) Thanks and take care.

Hi artistry, I've always been super punctual and even though Greec is laid back time wise I'm still lost without a watch, I even take one to the beach. If the battery goes which means a trip to town which may not be convenient I feel totally lost and was reduced to wearing my childs large and bulky one before he lost it somewhere.

...Hi thea, The last part of your comment made me laugh. I stopped wearing a watch on my arm a long, long time ago, I don't remember the reason. But I would always have the watch nearby so that I would hsve a clue as to what the actual time was. I love watches and I used to collect them, stopped doing that as well some time ago. When you have appointments and such, a watch is vital. I used to try to make it a point to be where I needed to be on time, because if you are late your whole everything is slightly upside down. Take it easy.

..Hi Hazelrose, Point well taken, it is so easy to scratch the crystal face of your watch, not only if you are doing your chores but in your everyday travels. When I did wear a watch I remember wearing it with the face on the inside of my wrist, because I seemed to always be hitting my watch on something for whatever reason. Actually I wore it on the side of my arm, not on the top or inside of my arm. So I started to wear it differently. I think it helped a little bit. Thank you for your comment. Take care.

i don't wear a watch because i think taht is unconfortable, i can't do what i want because i'm afraid i can break it, and i don't like the sesation that the watch gives me on my arm. I wear a watch only when there is an important occasion and i wear elegant clothes. usually to see what's the time i use my mobile phone, i think that is more useful and confortable.

...Hi there codris, You are interesting in that you have not fallen into the habit of doing what everybody else is doing. Which I think is sometimes the case with wearing a watch. I can't remember when I stopped wearing a watch, but after I did I was able to basically guess what time it was, without looking at my watch, within a few minutes or so. Don't ask me how, I think I was just tuned in to time. Of course if I had to be somewhere I would have a watch in my purse or briefcase. I used to collect watches, there are some very interesting time pieces that I have seen along the way. But I do not wear a watch. Take it easy and thanks for your interesting comment.
