The Game Show of your choice!!! *cue piped in audience cheering here as lights flash and you run down to the stage for your chance to win one of "thousands of fabulous prizes"* So...i'll bet that just about EVERYONE out there has thought about how great it would be to appear as a contestant on their favorite game show. So what one would you want to go on? Which one do you think would be the most fun? And better yet, which one do you think you would have the greatest chance of walking away with loads of cash and prizes from? Or, here's another question, with all the people out there on mylot...i'd say the chances are pretty good that at least SOMEONE (or a few someones) have already gotten to do this! If so, please share your experience! Was it fun and exciting? Did you walk away a big winner? or even a little winner? Or, even if you won nothing at all, was it still worth the experience and great stories you have to tell about it now? And to all/any of you who aren't in the united states...take a moment to tell us about the popular game shows in your country! If i had to choose a game show to compete on, oh gosh..i don't know! All my friends and roomates have always told me that i should go on Jeaopardy! and are always amazed at how many questions and bits of random information i know....and i like the fact that there is less "luck of the draw" involved in winning, and more "using your noggin". So come on people...what is your game show dream?

I guess I'd probably be the best at Wheel of Fortune. I don't particularly like watching Wheel of Fortune because if everyone doesn't win something it makes me sad. What really bothers me is if an older person doesn't win. Oh I hate that! But when I do watch it, I get the puzzles very quickly. And that isn't bragging, believe me I have nothing to brag about. I used to watch reruns of Press Your Luck. I would have loved to go on that game show!

Yes, I know. But when they end up with the minimum, all I can think about is how that will pay for their travel expenses and that's about it. lol

Well, if it makes you feel any better, every contestant, even if they don't win anything during their spins, walks away with $1000 at least. that is one of the thing i LIKE about wheel of fortunoe though, even if you aren't the high winner....say the winner has $20,000 but you won $12,000 during the game, you still get to keep the $12,000.....they don't take it away from you.

ahh yes..the singing bee....i forgot they had moved it to the country channel. it spent 2 seasons on one of the networks (i think abc) and i liked it SO much better there...it was hosted by joey fatone then and incorporated MUCH wider music varieies. i loved watching that show, but there s no way i would want to be on it cause i can't sing a bit!!

I would go for The Singing Bee and Don't Forget the Lyrics. I think I've memorized enough songs over the years. But if there's a song lyrics contest that concentrates on 1980-2000, that'll be even better! I would totally lose in Jeopardy ;-)

hiya liz - well i can certainly think of a few gameshow nightmares - some of them are truly scary. i suppose i'd give a general knowledge one a shot provided the categories did not at any point involve sport (i know nothing about sport). i've nearly been on one as part of a team but decided against it because i had the horrible feeling i would look silly.

Sports are always a weak point for me on quiz shows as well as really specific categories like "popes of the 19th century" or something like that...too specific for me! awww..that is sad to hear, i bet it would have been an awesome experience! It could have been your 15 minutes of fame!!

nope - not really my cup of tea. i would have joined in only if the team had been short but it wasn't. they haven't been on yet - sometime in the new year. yep - i've got some weak spots apart from sports too - classical music is one (my mother put me off it when i was at an impressionable age). and some parts of history. and probably lots of others - you may think rabbits know everything but sometimes they don't
