Cash or Gift

Would you rather get cash or a gift this holiday/Christmas? I would just get a gift rather than cash. Getting a gift shows that the person who gave the gift cares for you and its from the heart. Getting cash is just like saying "Here go buy some soda."

Yeah I know exactly what you mean, more than likely I am getting a gift card/cash from my parents this year because they wanted until last minute and now they are unable to actually go and shop. That hurts my feelings a bit because I think part of the joy of christmas is having people think of you and try and think of what will make you feel special and happy.

I actually could use the cash. it would be of more help to me this season.. Depending on the gift. A gift card to buy groceries or something is always helpful.

I wouldn't mind getting either one. A Gift is nice because it shows that the person spent time in looking for something to get you. & cash is cool too because what if you didn't like the gift? You could take that cash & spend it on whatever you like

I like both but for me giving gift to person I care about whom I know what they want I will give cash to those people I do not know to well so that they can buy things on their own. For me there is nothing wrong with it.

Christmas is a celebration of gift-giving. When said as gift, it can be in different ways and It is the person view on how he is about to give his gifts .. I prefer gifts that is given in his will. Any would do for me, for the best thing is I am remembered. That is the best gift that cannot be bought nor trade. Merry Christmas to all..

Agree. For holiday or festival, it's always good to give some gifts rather than cash. But some people will give cash to their parents for them to buy anything they need, especially for those parents don't have much pensions. Cash is more useful for them I think.
