I am a computer technician. But here in the Philippines, we still use XP. There are only a few of us here who use Vista. Most of us here, still prefer XP. I know how to make XP run faster... but I don't know how to do that with Vista. I think I should learn that also.

Ditch it and install Windows 7. ^^ Kidding aside, try to install Service Pack 2 for Vista. And of course, there's no better way to speed up a PC than to add more RAM. My first suggestion is still the best though - use Windows 7 instead. Happy holidays. ^^

lols..haha! yeah! I'm using vista right now and seems a bit slow, honestly slower than xp. I have the service pack 2 installed already and it actually helped a little bit.

any operating system is restricted because of your pc itself so try installing extra ram and increasing the performance of your pc system itself

try adding ram since that is one of the common ways to speed up a computer and try tweaking with the display properties of vista. There is an option there that lets you choose whether you want to make vista performance oriented or appearance oriented. You can also try defrag-ing your hard drive and cleaning your registry files. Try scanning for viruses it may also cause slowness.
