I know who my top pick for NBA MVP would be if the NBA season were to end today but still theres many games to go. I will mention my top 5 picks for MVP starting with my #1 pick: 1.Dirk Nowitzki Dirk is doing awesome this season and is really stepping up when it comes to helping his team win games this season. Hes already been the best shooter in the NBA to begin with if you include shooting from the field as well as free throws. Hes a pretty good rebounder as well and can really move the ball well for a 7 footer. Hes averaging over 26 points a game, shooting over 48% from the field, shooting 39% from 3 point range,88% from the free throw line, has over 8 rebounds a game, and over 1 block a game. His team the Dallas Mavericks currently have the second best record in the west behind the Lakers. He did win the MVP some years back when his team got the best winning record in the NBA but the playoffs ended horribly the same year when his team lost to the 8th seed Warriors. I consider it possibly the biggest upset in playoff history. 2.Carmelo Anthony Anthony who plays for the Denver Nuggets is currently the NBA leading scorer averaging 30.4 points a game, while shooting over 35% from 3 point land, and shooting 87% from the free-throw line. His team is in the #3 seed in the west. currently. 3.Lebron James James continues to be one of the best all-around players in the NBA and is averaging 28.7 points a game, shooting 50% from the field,36% from the 3 point range, and 77% from the free-throw line. He always does good with getting rebounds and dishing assists as he averages over 7 a game of each. Can the Cavs get him to stay once his free agent contract expires at the end of this season. 4.Kobe Bryant Even with all the help Mr.Big-Shoot that is Kobe has on his team now it doesn't seem to have slowed him down from pitching in and helping out the whole team. As a matter of fact he seems to be doing more this year. Kobe though has reason to relax and be more comfortable with team which probably is helping is stats go up. Hes averaging 29.5 points a game, shooting 48% from the field, making 84% of his free-throws, and doing well with the making steals averaging over 2.2 of them a game. His Team is currently tied with the Boston Celtics for the best record in the NBA. 5.Chris Paul Chris Paul can really shoot the ball well from the field considering hes only 6ft. tall. Hes shooting over 52% from the field and 47% from the 3 point range, and shooting over 85% from the free-throw line. Hes second in the league in Assists averaging almost 11 per game. Hes also averaging 20.7 points a game. Get this guy some better players or trade him to a better team. He has alot to offer if he was paired with a top scorer. I would like to see Chris Paul on a team with Lebron James. Let James do the scoring and Paul dish out the assist but paul can still really score and is definitely not limited to just passing the ball. Well theres my top 5 picks for MVP as of right now. Whos your top pick for NBA MVP currently?

hi your top picks are right on, and my most top pick for the best mvp is of course: Kobe Bryant, that is my opinion and I will stick by it. have no scores to show or anything else than my very biased opinion. hope he does get it as he deserves it for sure.

your picks for nba mvp are the usual candidates. i thought you are going to name new pick. kobe and lebron are the favorites to win the title. but i am hoping an outside pick can really give them a good fight. steve nash is still in fighting chance of bagging his third mvp. the suns are doing well. anyone from the boston celtics or orlando magic? well, it may be james' year.

steve nash could be the mvp. when you say the magic i assume your talking about Dwight Howard. i don't think howard will be MVP until he gets better skills on the offensive end.
