I didn't enjoy last season as much as some others. Are you hoping for a better year on American Idol? How will it be with Ellen and no Paula Abdul? Do you think this will change the flavor of AI?

Hiya Anything Art, Okay I´ve just cottoned on to who you are on about the Judges I know a couple of those but seeing as we don´t get any of this version of Xfactor or whatever I really can´t say much about them at all sorry about that. I only know the Spanish Judges here and they are okay one of them just about but they have got years of background behind them. Paula Abdul I really don´t know how much following she has in this Country I never hear her on the Radio but that does´nt really mean anything her performances are okay too just being watching her a bit. Matter of personal choice actually it´s like me saying what do you think of Rocio Jurado? But I think that in America no one might really have known her. She was a great Singer with a lot of soul and depth in her. She knew how to transmit even though she only sang in Spanish.

Hiya agv, She sounds a very lively Person this Ellen does I think that is probably what they need on there to liven things up and make People relax and smile. Hope you enjoy watching it. Shall try and keep up with it too if I can on Youtube.

Hiya AnythingArt, Have to say I´m completely ignorant of this Television Series but I am looking it up right now to see what it´s about as always our Television is always about what they want to transmit and that is not a lot except for loads of realitys and politics yuk. I love Smallville though even though I have seen the same Episodes repeated till you actually know the Dialogue itself. I´ve just been seeing Adam Lambert and Kris Allen I have to say I prefer Adam Lambert from what I have seen. Have´nt had time to compare more than this. I also like Eduardo Aguirre very much the Costa Ricense I don´t know if he is in the American part of this or their own version it was´nt made very clear. Is this the Xfactor American version or is it another version of the XFactor bit confusing for me anyway I prefer Adam Lambert I did´nt care much for the Song but I did like the performance and the quality of his voice. Actually in Spain the worst of the male singers won and the others not. I like Kris Allen too but does not impress me as much as Adam he has more depth again this is a first impression.

I think that the show in different countries uses different judges and contestants, which is probably for the best. The US version (which I am talking about) doesn't have the best judges, but they are in the process of replacing Paula (a singer) with Ellen (a comedienne). It really comes down to having good talent. The judges are just a small part of the overall program. A good singer is a good singer, no matter what language!

Hiya AnythingArt, Sounds like Ellen Degeneres, is a good choice as a Judge. I´ve just been watching what I could of her as some of the Videos on Youtube have been prohibited. She probably will be a lot of fun. I don´t know her as a Comedian as such but from the bits of Video I´ve beem watching she sounds really nice. I have seen her with Christina Aguilera and with a girl called María which just looks like its being Televised over there where Ellen gives Maria all the Twelve Days presents they have given away up to now?

I didn't watch last season much at all, I just needed an AI break! Honestly Paula was one of the reasons, I got tired of her always fighting with Simon as if she would purposely say the opposite just to push his buttons. There have only been 2 episodes so far but I've noticed the judges seemed to get along better already! They had some disagreements but there's no play-slapping like Paula always did. Kara still bugs me some but at least she keeps her cool most of the time. So yep I'm looking forward to this season :) Although I'm not pleased with the 4 hours a week deal they are doing right now! I skipped half of episode 2 b/c it was just too much.

I am hoping for a better season because I didn't like last year much either but I don't know what it is going to be like without Paula. I don't like Ellen much and I don't think she is going to be good for American Idol. I don't understand why they had her take Paula's place when she has nothing to do with music. I will watch it but I don't know how much I will like it with Ellen instead of Paula. :)

I don't understand the choice of Ellen except that her talk show is very popular and she can have all those singers on her show for further promotional value to American Idol. Whether she can tell is someone's off key is another thing. It really comes down to having good contestants. Last year's just didn't appeal to me, for some reason. I never got invested in the show last season. Hope it works better this year.

I don't know how it will be with Ellen... I don't know what her musical background includes so I kind of wonder why she's judging but I'll give her a chance. Anything has to be better than Vodka Paula and her gooey drunken love fest and her flirting with Simon like a 12-year-old who hasn't quite yet figured out the proper way to flirt. I muted the tv or left the room when she started talking.

I wasn't a fan of Paula's either, and the flirting with Simon was too much to take. Then they bring in the new lady (last year), and she didn't add much to the show either. Now they are looking for some comic relief, apparently. I am not sure that Ellen is a good fit, but she can't be any worse than Paula, can she? Really it comes down to the contestants and not the judges, luckily. Last year I just didn't get invested with their choices of the top 10. I am hoping this year is better or maybe I'll just watch something else...or better yet, read.

I stopped watching a couple of seasons ago. So much TV, so little time; when you have to pick and choose you get really choosey about what to watch. Also, I started losing interest in the show.
