I thought Avatar was a great movie. The special effects were stunning. If you haven't seen it yet, make sure you see it in 3-D. You'll get the full effect of another planet that way. Go see it today, it was amazing!!!

HI cperry Today i saw the movie with two of my sisters, my brother, and my parents. I actually love to see movies with my dad as he always gave an amazing philosophical sense to the movies. I think the movie was really good, the effects were amazing, the story i found it a bit cheesy(i mean "i fell in love with you and everything changed", way too cheesy dialogue in my opinion). Ok for what my dad says, he didnt like the message, he thought it was too "green". He made a comparison i didnt expect, he asked us what was the difference between this and Narnia(yeahh i was like WTF???). Well his point was actually to make a comparison between enywa and aslan. Aslan truly represented God as aslan sacrificed himself and was actually there to help(just like Jesus). He also stated that it was ridiculous to put "god" as the nature, putting nature first than men is ridiculous(i couldnt agree more with him in this point). I cant remember what else he said, but is truly a joy to share a movie with my dad, as his views are so interesting and they are also so true.

Nice comment. I saw an interview with the actor that played the bad guy in the story and he compared it to the story of the American Indians. When they were in the forest, I couldn't help but imagine what the forest scenes in Stars Wars would have been like in 3-D. Star Wars also had that underlying message that all nature is a part of the the force.

We went and saw it yesterday. We went to an IMAX theater and I am so glad we did. It was very cool, we felt like we were right there in with them during the movie, and it was really cool. The movie itself was pretty good but the effects were amazing. I don't think that a lot of the 3D movies that come out these days are worth it, but this one really was.

I agree the 3-D was definitely worth it for this movie. What a beautiful planet!

My son just saw and said it was excellent. He said it was a long movie. Looking forward to seeing it.

It was long but it was probably the best movie that I saw in 2009.

My son saw it - in 2D - and still thought it was an ace movie. He reckoned 3D is best kept for movies that would bomb otherwise - Avatar doesn't need gimmicks. Yet to see it myself, but he's inspired me to go.

It is a good movie all around but seeing it in 3-D really gives you the full experience of planet Pandora.
