Birthdays of loved ones are always remembered. Christmas is always a time for gift-giving in some countries. It is your nature to give presents to your loved ones on special occasions. If these dates fall on your "lean" days and you do not have cash in your pocket, are you one who would obtain loans or purchase on credit just to give presents to your loved ones on special occasions?

Is it possible for us to form a small group of trusted friends? If it is possible then we can join best international sites under each others referral link and respond to discussions to increase our online earnings. There are many such benefits. Think about it and let me know.

I am not open to the idea of borrowing or use my credit card to be able to please anyone. If this person understands your situation (lean days, etc.) he or she should not impose it to you or better yet would not expect anything from you.

Hi Joseline. I was talking about your volition to give the recipient being a loved one. Of course, we wouldn't like to be imposed on anything especially on gift-giving. An inexpensive gift would do, he would understand. It is the thought that counts rather than the gift. If you really want to buy an expensive for the loved one, you can always save for it months before. Anyway, birthdays, anniversaries or any special occasions are known before hand, aren't they?

Hi Joseline, That is the appropriate thing to do. We save money so that when the occasion comes, we are ready with the present for the loved one. We can always make do with an inexpensive gift. Yes, it is the thought that counts and not the gift.

Hi, I do agree on what you've said. What I do is that I always set aside money in advance instead of borrowing or using my credit card. Although I would admit that not everyone has extra money to set aside for special occassions. It is always the thought that counts when giving someone a token of their love.

No I wouldn't I would ask them if it is ok to get their Present a little Later, or I would buy it in advance I am not prepared to get into Debt as I know I can't afford to pay a loan every month and I would not buy something which is not in my price range

Hi Gabs, That is also a good way to do it. I know we always make sure to keep our promises. Like you, I prefer to buy it in advance or save money for it. I don't have a credit card and that is what I have refrained for a long time. A gift need not be expensive. It is always the thought that counts. Have a nice day!

It has happened with me many times. I never think twice before doing it. But I personally wouldn't advice anybody to do it because sometimes when you are not able to pay in time it gives unbearable headaches and nightmares.

Hi Meapas. Of course, we would do everything to make a loved one happy. One such thing would be to give him a present --- either bought in cash or on credit. Inasmuch as we want to give it to him on that occasion but at a time that we don't have cash, it is not bad to look for other ways to do so ... buying it on credit. I know how it is to pay credit card bills. I had been there and it was such a headache for me. I don't have a single credit card now. I have learned my lesson and I make sure that I buy in cash. If it is not possible to do so, I buy it at a later time when my means permit me to do so.

Yes that is the way to handle. I too closed my credit card account. Now I have a debit card to take care of such situations. As you say if by any chance I fail to get one then I see to it that it is more than made up at the earliest.
