Do you think you gained any weight during Christmas?

I don't think I ate too badly over the Christmas season so I don't really think I gained any weight. Do you think you might have put on a couple pounds after eating all the Christmas goodies?

I've lost 21lbs in the last 5 months, so I was a bit concerned about gaining over Christmas. I didn't exactly limit what I ate, but I've got used to eating less, so I didn't totally pig out either. My husband has just been diagnosed as diabetic, so I haven't opened any chocolates - we just had a few at our neighbour's on Christmas Day. I weighed myself this morning, and I've put on 1lb since the day before Christmas Eve. I'm happy with that, as I can get that off again in a few days.

Oh, that's brilliant - thanks! But a half stone crap? That's almost as big as a new born baby - how did he pass that without an epidural? I think he must have got confused, but I love it!

I can honestly say I wish I had put on a few pounds with the holidays. I've lost 30 lbs due to bad teeth and being limited on what I can eat. If the scale is right, I've manages to put 6 lbs back on...now to keep it that way. Part of it is making sure we do have plenty of the foods I can eat in the house....applesauce, cottage cheese, eggs, pork and beans, yogurt, and pudding. Marsha

I don't think so, I don't usually eat that much more than usual on the holidays. I may eat slightly bigger meals, but I usually eat one larger meal instead of 2 small ones during the holidays, and I really did not go crazy on cookies and pies and things like that, so I don't think I gained any. My jeans are not tight and in fact are a bit loose so I feel good about that, but I still plan on losing 10 to 15 pounds during January and February.

Yes! This is definitely the case with me and I'm not too happy about it! I'm an enthusiastic cyclist but I guess I stopped this for a short while and so the pounds have started to build around my waist! Still, we are approaching yet another new year and I have made the intention to get out there and cycle everyday. I know that this will work but I have to persevere with it and it's not going to be easy either. I have strong resolution once more and I want to start off the New year by doing my best in terms of getting fit! I went out for a long cycle ride this morning actually and I'm pleased that I did it. Christmas is the worst time when it comes to putting the pounds on, that's life I guess! Andrew

I actually lose weight over Christmas and other breaks from college. At college its all fast food or microwavable dinners for me. I'm constantly on the go and I have a ton of stuff to do so I don't really have time to plan out better meals and spend the time cooking a lot. So when I'm home things are more relaxed and my parents do most of the cooking so I eat better. Plus even around holidays I don't eat more than I normally do so its never been a problem.

Aye, I gained weight, but maybe only five pounds. I sort of wanted to. I lost, on purpose, going from a hefty 207 to 167. However, I have noticed in photos of me in recent years my lack of weight makes me look old and worn out. I can dig looking old and enjoy the term "grandpa" by our grandchildren but I do not want to look worn out. So, I am tweaking my weight a bit. The mid 170's might do it.

I've gotta laugh because I've been really freaked out myself about it...and I wound eating wayyy more than I should've..those cordial cherries got the best of me! The scale is lying to me saying I haven't gained, but my clothes are so tight I can't breathe! I think it's more bloat than anything, so I'm on the 30 minute daily walking routine again-and hopefully this time I'll keep it up!
