How often do you go on vacation?

We go once a year to Dubai, its amazing and never want to come home. We get treated like royalty, which we are far from! lol

We normally go away every half term from school.We normally go away in the summer holidays for three weeks and we shall do that this year,but we will only go away two more times as money is getting tight.That is one of our cutbacks.We are not moaning as many people are a lot worse off than that.We don't spend a lot of money and we cater for ourselves while away.We find it is the break that does us good as a family and we do get proper family time.

I've been on vacation for two and a half years. We've been all over the USA, I'm ready to go overseas to Hawaii or farther.

This year, I've been away for 2 weekends but my last real holiday was in 2001.

For me, it`s just one / year with my family . i just can`t go in a trip without my family, because until now, i don`t have my own money to go where i want when i want, with who i want. I will go maybe 2-3 times / year when i will be on my own money, but until then maybe it will pass half of the 2010 year . Now, with this crisis, even if i`ll have some money, i don`t think that i will go in a vacantion, or maybe i`ll go , we`ll see when i will see how much money i will have near the summer .

We had been going once a year, but they were never BIG vacations. We'd go to Atlanta (from Savannah) and stay with his sister and go to things there. Our biggest vacation was to the disney parks and Islands of Adventure in FL.

In 2008 we did a lot of vacations, including long and short. But this year we could not do much because of our schedule, but still went for short trips. We always try to at least go somewhere for long weekends and go for long vacation during thanksgiving or christmas. I am glad that we did not go anywhere during this holidays, because weather was so crazy all over the country.

I haven't been on holiday for about three years now. Mostly because there is no way I could afford it, and partly because I have an anxiety disorder which would mean that the whole thing would be more of an ordeal than a break. I'd much rather just have some time away from working, but not actually going anywhere; that would be much more relaxing for me.

for me its one long vacation and few short ones whenever possible.

i just have one big vacation per year. that's what im allowed. we're allowed 36 days paid annual leave so i take advantage of it. with so many holidays within the year, i don't to go for extended vacations... :)

It really depends on the year and such. My husband and I are both students. So it's not always easy to go on trips. We haven't been on a trip since December 2008. However, we are saving up some money so that we can make a trip sometime this summer. We're hoping to go on a trip sometime in June for a week or something like that.
