Yep I did and I came down with a crash
I went out in my Daughters Garden to clean Gissi mess up
At the end of the Garden she has Decking, which I know was very slippy when there was snow on it, as Gissi did the Splits a couple of time, it has been raining here today and last Night, so of I trot and before I know what is going on I am on butt, Gissi jumping all over me, my Words not very nice, my Butt wet and sore, my Arm sore as I fell on it, and close to tears
My Son came out and shook his Head, he asked me if I had not got rid of the Blond Moments yet
He picked me up from the Floor and realized I had hurt my Arm, he took me inside and made sure my Arm was not sprained or anything, then the after affect of the Shock, I started to breathe to fast, so my Son got my Inhaler to give to me
My Daughter said 'Mum I told you it is slippy' Yes she did but she told me when there was Snow on it
The Snow has gone, she could have told me it is also slippy when it is wet. Her Reply was 'Mum I said to you please be careful on the Decking when it is WET she says 'wet means wet, Mum'
Yeah ok it does but I did not connect at the time
I have injured my Back again, which always goes when I knock it, due to a bad Car accident 16 years ago, but hey it will go again
Once both the Children knew I was ok, my Son said to me 'Mum how many times have I told you not to play in the Muck, look at the State of you now' Well I just had to laugh at him
Of course my sensible Daughter said 'I just can't let you out of my Sight, Mum, can, every time I do you end up on your Butt'
Well never mind I will try not to have skiing lessons tomorrow on a wet Deck

There is a product called Yak tracks that hooks on the bottom of your shoes to give you traction.

Gerty, we should get Gabs a pair of those no-slip shoes that the restaurant people have to wear to work. Just saying, it might help keep our friend on her feet.

hi gabs oh my I can almost feel your pain as I know the few times I feel that I did not do horrible damage were went I just sat down hard on my butt. ouch that hurts and yes I hurt my arm too . My sense of balance has been off every since the bad fall when I tripped over my own foot and feel, landing on my left shoulder. the bones just crumbled so they could not just set it, surgery , and an artificial shoulder joint metal and plastic.your kids did try to lighten things up a bit for you and that always help as you have to laugh. the time I fell on my shoulder I was not laughing, I was in such pain, and they had to call the paramedics the whole darned bit. what was to have been a nice breakfast out turned into five days in the hospital and a month in rehab, a nd a lot of pain. i am glad you did not break anything gabs.hope you feel better real soon and your bruises fade out too.

Embarrassing when you can't even stand on your own two feet! Glad that you didn't hurt yourself more than you did. People have been known to break bones from just a simple little fall. Your kids sound like they are a lot of fun. They keep you laughing. Big huggers to you....be careful where you walk!

Is it wonderful to have your children care so much for you? It sounds like they fussed over you a lot. Why did you go out to the garden? Oh yeah. To clean up a mess. And then you ended up being the next mess. Good Lord, girl. What are we all going to do with you?
I have an idea. We will wrap you up in bubble wrap. Then when you fall down, you will be cushioned.
*Pop! pop! pop!*

Oh gabs, that's horrible! Sometimes even when I'm extremely careful, it doesn't work anyway. I think I make things worse by being TOO careful. Sorry you hurt yourself, ouch! I bet Gissi thought you were playing for a minute, haha. I can just picture him jumping all over you!

Good grief, gabs! I remember you talking about slipping on the grass while taking Gissi for a walk not too long ago and here you are, slipping again! I think we're all going to have to pitch in here and buy you a walker or at least some non-slip rubber shoes! LOL
I'm glad to hear that you are okay. I mean, that you haven't broken any bones or anything. I'm sure you're probably going to hurt tomorrow if you're not already. Just take it easy!
My friend who came here for Christmas slipped on the ice as she was getting into her car when leaving, then her husband slipped and fell right on top of her. I'm hearing about a lot of slips and falls around here because of the snow and ice. I'd like to know the statistics for hospitals during bad weather. I'm sure they see more than average sprains and broken bones.
Well, listen to your kids and stay safe! I'm so glad that you didn't land on Gissi! LOL

Gissi was well away till I sat on the Floor then he decoded to give kisses and jump all over me I have a sore back but I will be ok
As for your Friend I hope she is ok I mean bad enough falling but then to have her Husband fall on top of her was not good
My Arm is ok but my Back is pretty sore lol

Oh gosh gabs, I am sorry about your butt landing and am glad to hear while you hurt your back that it wasn't much worse with broken bones or such. Isn't it nice of kids though to always be able to get in a good laugh at our expense It sounds like Gissi was at least there to make sure you were alright...

Oh boy! I fall all the time in the winter. I think because I am always rushing about. Actually, even if I am going slow..I guess I am just clumsy.
Hope you bottom and arm feel better soon!

Spills like that are pretty common around here on the ranch. You get distracted just for a second and down you go. Some of these have been pretty painful so we try very hard not to repeat the process. And don't you just love it when your children start treating you like a small child, it's nice to know they are concerned but you already feel foolish enough. Blessings and stay on your feet.
