three weeks ago i started a discussion about everyone's christmas wishlist. i placed my wishlist there and asked everyone here at mylot what their christmas wish list is. i know this comes a tad bit too late but since it is better late than never, i just wanted to ask everyone if you got your christmas wish list? if so did you get everything on the list or did you just get some of it? were you happy with what you got or did you get anything at all? as for me, i can say with utmost enthusiasm that i did not get anything that i wrote in my christmas wish list. lol!!! seriously, it just drives the point that i need to look after myself because no other else is there to look after me. 'sigh' in a brighter note, i've realized that i should be striving harder if i want to get what i want in life. anyway, i'm close to getting the shirts plus the 501 jeans that i wanted. no chance in getting the oakley shades or the rudy project shades unless i rob a bank or something. lol at that thought! anyway, back to the discussion at hand, did you get what you wanted in your christmas wish list? cheers!!!

I mostly got everything I wanted. There were some things that I wanted and didn't get, and I ended up buying them on after Christmas sale. Of course, I couldn't buy everything I wanted, but I bought 2 things at least... two pairs of earrings. Hopefully one of which will look nice enough to wear to interviews. I need to get some jeans too. But first I need to lose some weight.

I also do not like buying new pairs of jeans when I know that I have gained weight. I'd want to buy one when I'm in my "normal" weight. But I still did buy two pairs yesterday. Hahaha.

I think I'd still be able to wear them, because when I lose weight, it's not that big-time. I lose only three to four pounds. LOL!

I didn't have a Christmas Wishlist, but I did have a list of the things I wanted to buy even before Christmas: 1. Clothes (There are literally only 5 shirts that I wear, no joke!) 2. Footwear 3. a hula hoop (yes, a hula hoop. I want to burn my calories with this thing!) 4. Earrings 5. Necklace 6. A jacket It's a pretty simple list, but those are really the only ones that I want right now. So far I've bought some shirts and a pair of sandals yesterday. I specifically want a Michael Jackson shirt but it's hard to look for one here. I'd probably save up for that because I really want it. It's just that the mall where I shopped didn't have any MJ shirts in it. I obviously haven't bought all of them yet, but right now I am already satisfied with what I have.

hi mj! first off, welcome to mylot. i do hope you enjoy your stay here. hope to read more of your thoughts and ideas. interesting list you got there. intrigued by the hoola hoop but if it works for you, it works for you. at least you got your shirts and sandals. a michael jackso shirt is available a t music one stores in both glorietta and greenbelt but a bit pricey as the shirt is imported from the states. it comes in different designs and the sizes are quite big than the average shirt for filipino/filipinas. anyway, just a heads up. might be worth the trip if you are really lookign for a michael jackson shirt. glad that you are satisfied with what you have. hope you are able to complete your list early next year. cheers!!!

Really? Are they worth a thousand pesos? Are they still there? Anyway, I am miles away from Greenbelt, I could've told my sister to buy me one.*sigh* I've seen some MJ shirts in American Boulevard, and they too are pricey and big for me. Now I have not much money left with me..:( Hope they still have stocks by the time I have some bucks again.

hi mj. yup. giveor take a thousand bucks. i think they still have stocks remaining but unsure which sizes are still available. the shirt comes in three designs and i'm sure you'll like either of the three designs. you might end up buying one shirt per design. lol! cheers!!!

as me and my husband discussed about the christmas vacation-- we marked it as one of the longest and best christmas vacation ever in our family. how i wish dad is still with us. this is our second year with him. he passed away two years ago 20th december 2008. so mom was quite sad but we did our best to cheer her up.

Hi allen Well, no..My husband and I could not afford to buy each other even one gift this year and collectively, we wished for a miracle that something would change in this economy so that we dont struggle every month with the mortgage payment and the fear of loosing our home. Things here are very tough as my husband lost his job of 13 years driving a tanker early in the year and being that there just isnt any driving jobs in South Florida, he is forced to work in a factory for less than 1/2 of what he was making. To say our lives have changed drastically is an understatement and we don't see any change on the horizon. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would ever be in this situation and I have to tell you it is scary and depressing. We are lucky to have a roof over our head and food to eat and I guess that is the best gift we could ever have received this year. We just get up every day and put one foot in front of the other and try to carry on and we pray to God that we can meet the bills again this coming month..So that was Christmas here this year...Next year will be better..I pray.. Happy New Year to you and yours..

Not really. I have been giving gifts to many of the people I know but I didn't get to buy a gift for myself. The stuff I'm given back are honestly what I wished for but for the heck of it they make good surprises.
