If you had the opportunity to join a study for some new kind of pill weight loss, depression, sleep aid, anything you can think of....if you were given the right amount of cash would you risk your health not knowing the possible side effects you could encounter??

Thats kind of the way I think about it. See the reason I asked this is because my friend joined a health study for these new diet pills. She is getting paid $1000 for a month. So what she has to do is take a side view picture and record her weight everyday. She has to this is for one month while she is on the pill to see if she loses any weight, and if so how much how fast. But the scary part is she has to record any side effects she feels. They told her to keep a log of how she feels everyday too like feeling dizzy, if she throws up at all, losing her appetite, headaches and things liek this. That is scary because you dont know how it will make you feel and what the outcome of it would be. So far she hasn't gotten really sick but I tried to talk her out of it because I just think that is nuts, and I would never do it.

If I were sure it wouldn't affect any of the other meds I'm on,I'd be willing to do a study of some sort. But,with my health history,it might be too risky.

Yeah when my friend joined the study it said in order to join you can not be taking any sort of other medication because of the fact that they do not know how other meds and this pill will react when taken together.
