We all have to have some sport activities throughout the year. Depending on the weather conditions, preference would differ ofcourse. Here in Canada, the most favorite sport in the winter time is Ice Hockey. Everybody likes to enjoy playing or watching Ice Hockey. How about where you are ? What would be the most favorite sport in the winter time ?

I think the people in my area like to ski. There are several places fairly close to go. There is also tubing areas that are pretty fun too. There are iceskating rinks too.

Hi greenline. It would be more than likely football. The Superbowl season will be here very soon and many fans are getting ready for this event in the USA. I am not personally a big fan of the Superbowl. But, I do enjoy the chips and wings with this celebration.

I would agree that the Superbowl is really big where I live, also. We have two other sports that are pretty big - riding snowmobiles and ice fishing. I perfer the snowmobiling over the others, not that I've done it alot. I just liked it better.

I have never played hockey but I have ice skated, but probably my favorite winter activity to do is sledding. Tobogining also als really fun. I don't really like winter though and stay indoors as much as possible, but if there is nice snow and the weather is in the high 40' I might just go out and do some playing in the snow, sledding, or tabogoning, tabogoning is really expensive though.

I live in Japan, and since there is hardly any snow, snowboarding and skiing are not that easy to get to. So I guess I would have to say ice skating. I am in no way good, but it is nice to skate around an ice rink every now and then :D

Well as far as watching the Olympics go, according to the ratings and statistics compiled about American viewers, figure skating is the most watched winter sport by Americans. But because of American athlete Apolo Anton Ohno, I imagine the ratings in the U.S. for speed skating will be high as well. He's definitely the most popular athlete in the Winter Olympics as far as the U.S. goes.

American Football Rules The U.S. Most of us Yanks Love Football.Even though I was born and raised in the U.S. , I prefer Ice hockey. where else do you get the grace of skating, the toughness of football mixed with speed? For it beats football hands down.

I don't know of any favorite sports we have here in the wintertime. It might be because it doesn't get cold enough here in Alabama to have ice hockey or snow skiing. I always thought it would be fun to try snow skiing. We do have mountains in Alabama but we just don't get enough snow for wintersports much. In fact, the tallest point in Alabama is Mount Cheaha in Anniston, Alabama. I don't really keep up with sports that much so I really don't know of any favorite sports here in the winter. About the only sports I care anything about are horseback riding and swimming and you can only do those in the summer. We do have an indoor swimming pool but it's fairly new and I haven't tried it out yet. Sope people like to ride horseback in the winter but I was taught not to because if it's below 50 degrees, horses can be very frisky and I don't want to get hurt. Kathy.

In winter we can go ice skating, skiing or else. Although I am not good at ice skating I like to do it. Otherwise, the Winter Olympic Game will be held in Canada, right? I also like to watch ice hockey. I want to try it and did not find the chance.

Hockey, hockey, and more hockey. Just spent the best part of new years eve watching my team win a hockey game. Other than hockey there is basketball, I like to watch our high school boys play basketball more than I like the NBA games.
