It was texting crazy last night

You won't believe what happen last night, I received 20 text message last night, all saying "Happy New Year"; "Wish you happy new year" the same sort of message last night until 1:00 A.M. in the morning. I was in the party, so I wasn't aware about my cell phone. I even had 3 miss calls that I didn't know about. The thing is I only replied a couple of those messages back, and it might already cost me a lot of money from my next phone bill. I don't have unlimite text or talk from T- mobile, and I am more than happy to have people call me or leave a voice message. Did you get a lot of happy new year greeting last night?

How did you get those text from outside the country? Did you give away your phone number from those social networking websites or something? I wish happy new year here.

that was outrageous, how you gonna response to 150 messages? I don't even want to bother with 20 text messages. I only responded 3 of them. I rather people send me voice or email message, which will cost nothing.

Unlimited text messaging is really awesome if you're able to get it. I remember when I had a cell phone plan without unlimited text messaging, and it got expensive because I had friends texting all the time. Eventually I decided to get unlimited texting, and I love it. Sometimes people don't really feel like talking on the phone, so they just send a quick text to get their message across. :)
As for the New Year, yes I did get a lot of texts, and I sent a lot of texts myself. I was at a friend's party, and in his basement the reception was bad, so I had to go upstairs and send my texts.

yeah I got loads of messages and was still getting them today on new years day
I always reply to every single one and prob sent out about 80+ messages to family friends and employee's
but that's cool as I get 1200 free texts a month so not much of an issue to be honest

I sent about ten saying happy new year, recieved two maybe three in return. Though I don't know if it was my friend, or the crappy phone i've got now, but I've recieved the same message twice from the same person. It's all good though. I spend the fifteen/month for unlimited texting. I end up needing it. I find texting a lot faster. I'd have to say the strangest text I recieved today would have to be the "Free message from T-mobile Your bill is avaible on T-mobile.com" message I get every month when my bill's ready.
If you're worried about a high bill chances are, based on what you've said... If you have no texting plan then for twenty-two messages, that should run you about four five bucks depending on the current rate based on the country you're in. T-mobile here in America is about 20 cents per message sent/recieved. So if you have no plan your bill will be a bit higher.
If you can't afford unlimited texting, then why not just get 400 for an extra five/month? then you won't have to worry. Or, activate the text, picture, im, feature completely from your line for free at my.t-mobile.com all incoming texts will be blocked, except those from T-mobile themselves.

Well... Today (january 1st) is my birthday so not only did I get "happy new year" messages, I've gotten tons of "oh, yeah! Happy birthday, too!" messages. Between 10 o'clock last night to around noon today, I've gotten somewhere around 600 text messages, co-workers, clients, friends, family, etc. etc... Some of them are from same people. "Happy New Year!!" then about 2 minutes later, "Oh, yeah..!! Happy Birthday, too..!!!" type of thing.

no, I never texted anyone and no one texted me. That is okay, as it is just my daughter and I that text anyway, and lately, we have been talking instead of texting. So far today, I have had only one, and that is my ex husband, I who I talk to everyday anyway. I guess I am just not into texting or calling everyone I know with Happy New Year. It is just another day, but New Year. I should call my son, but I will see him tomorrow anyway, so I can tell him then. I do have a best friend, but we haven't texted much lately either. It is okay though. I do have unlimited texting, but I don't care if I get them or not. I am just thrilled I am here and posting, and that is all that matters to me at this point.
