What brand of TV you consider buying?

I got my bonus on my job and want to add a tv on my home. Some are cheap and other are expensive. After reviewing tv's I find out that sony are expensive tv to purchase. I compare them to other brands (same features) and don't see any difference.
If you were to buy a tv what is your preferences on buying this item. Do you go for the brand, the price, the features, or just pick what you like? I need help mylotters.

I relly prefer sony on all brands my whole life I have it, This brand have good HD the resolution of the images are the best and the sound is good you are going to spend around from 1650-1700 on 42 lcd ..
if u want other brand

Toshiba-$795
Lg-$698
Philips-$658
If you want something good i will pick sony ..

hi jeiay as far as good brand in tv's are samsung or sony
i will go for this two brands and this brand give most of features and reliable they give good quality for that they take more money. Other brand give same features but not giving good quality.
you have to choose which type of features you want and how much you want to spend on tv
