My husband and I just joined an awesome gym called Planet Fitness! It's huge, brand new and only $10 a month for membership! They've had tons of commercials on TV lately. It's a really awesome deal. Are you a member of Planet Fitness? Do you like the gym there? If you're looking for a great gym and have one in your area I'd highly recommend checking it out!

I've never heard of this gym! I hope they have some in my area! *checks online*. It looks like they're going to open one in Bloomington,MN which is about 20 minutes from where I live. I have been trying like hell to find a place that isn't terribly expensive. I don't know if you've heard of Lifetime Fitness, but I was with them for a while - and it was a $150 sign-up fee and then $75 for each month. It was nice, yes - they had pools, hot tubs, these weird peppermint saunas, and tons of workout equipment and tennis/racquet ball courts - but I just don't know if I can afford to pay $75 a month just to work out! It's not worth it in my opinion! Ugh! I'm seriously going to look into this. $10 a month would be AMAZING considering I want to get in shape SO bad but I've been having trouble finding the right (affordable) place to do it at. Is there a start-up fee? Do they have a pool/sauna or any kind of extra features like that?

The Start up fee is $1 .......... lol They don't have pools/saunas but what they do have is massage chairs and tanning on top of all their awesome workout equipment - if you're interested!

$1?! lol i think i can handle that. I am definitely interested. I checked out the website and it said for $19.99 you get unlimited gym AND tanning access? I pay that alone for my tanning! err! Yeah! I'm definitely going to join as soon as I figure out.. when the one in my state is going to open. (It says it's "coming soon", but doesn't say when..) Anyway, thanks for the heads up! I'm excited!

I have heard of Planet Fitness before but there isn't one in my area, we have a Bally and Curves about an hour away but want to travel that far or have gas for it. I have went to my local YMCA and they have membership scholarships for low income and they don't want to turn anyway, I am still waiting to see what they have available or even let me in. This is one of my New Years Resolutions...lose WEIGHT as usual. :))

Wow that is a bargain! I was a member of Curves until our financial situation forced me to stop going. There isn't a Planet Fitness in our area. I would probably check it out if it were in the area. Ten dollars a month is really great! Most fitness clubs in our area charge at least $30 a month.

Yeah..I had it before. I enrolled once before but I stopped because of the distance from our residence to that place. I love to have it again if ever we could have one near our place..I think you have a reasonable price of $10 a month..how I wish I could join your fitness gym...GOod luck.. Mobhomeir...
