Looks like Rafa is looking to sign Van Nistelrooy for Liverpool. What do you say for this signing? Do you think it is a shrewd move in light of injuries to Torres, or do you think Van Nistelrooy is way past his expiry date? Cheers! Ram

Liverpool need a poacher, someone who can make a nusianace of themselves in the box, poke a goal in and give Torres some room to work in. I believe that Van Nistelrooy can still do this job but know that he hasn't managed to play much for the Real first team this year despite seemingly having recovered from injury

I fear for any striker who is on the bench when the highly overrated forward Benzema makes the starting line up :). So I am not sure what would be the level of Van Nistelrooy when he dons the reds again!! Cheers! Ram

Ruud to West Ham would be good. Poor old Zola has got them playing well, unfortunately luck just does not seem to be going his way. I hope Ruud can come and change that. Cheers! Ram

What i've known about Van Nistelrooy is that he's good with the final touch ,i mean his finishing with the ball in scoring. And i think he'll be goog for Liv.also i hope he still have that touch He's like Inzaghi .

This was the rumor doing rounds in the January transfer window. Now that Ruud has moved back to Holland, I guess this move will not happen any more. Cheers! Ram

I think Ruud is well past his sell-by date. I also think Rafa would be a total plum to sign yet more overpriced tat - far better to get the squad (skwaad, if you're Rafa) working as it is, and improve results the old-fashioned way - hard work! Overpriced European imports are not the way forward.

I completely agree with you that Ruud is way past his sell by date. The loan deal till the end of this season should be ok given that there are no good buys visible in the striking area currently. But buying him outright would be a poor decision. Cheers! Ram
