I was watching an episode of house in which that was the decision given by house to the parents of two boys .The thing is that both were afflicted by a disease that the doctors couldnt figure out however if they took the marrow from one child they could give it to the other . Now what would you do as the parent?

That would be one of the worst decisions I'd ever have to make. I would probably see if they could possibly find any other options. If not, test my marrow and my families. I would do everything I could to save my children. If nothing worked, i'm not sure. I don't think I could make a choice like that. To lose any child is bad enough, but both...I couldn't imagine ever losing my daughter.

i would have a very hard time making a dicission like that....no parent should ever have to make a choice of what child to save....i would call everyone i knew to help me make the decision, but if i recall in that episode of house...the one boy did what he had to do to save his brother and they both lived...am i correct...i would hope my kids have that kind of bond cause i would have done it for my brothers.

Yes it is a very hard decision and frankly Iodnt know what I would do.Yes in that episode one brother ended up saving the other and was willing to die for his brother and I am so happy that he didnt have to I know its just a show but it could easily have happened in real life

Wow! Is this a very difficult question! I have had to erase my answer several times. At first, I thought my answer was obvious and easy, to give the marrow to one so that at least one could survive. But, then as I thought about it longer my question was "How can you decide to which one to give it too? Tough one. If there was a significantly higher survival rate for one child my answer would be easier, but if that wasn't the case, how could you pick? Deciding to give your child life is a wonderful thing and a very easy choice, but, on the flipside you are in a way deciding one child to die! I think at the end,I would have to pick one. I would have to save one at least. Even though I would have to live with the fact that I chose one over the other, it would be selfish to not pick one because of what I would "feel" or have to live with. This is a great topic, definitely has me thinking! Thanks.

are you talking about serials? They just create odd situations to attract the viewers and thereby increasing their rating. If it is in real life, then i think the doctors should decide after checking for the health conditions of both boys.Things should be evaluated with logic unlike in an episode of a serial.
