We just beat the coyotes...4-1. That's 8 goals in 2 games for the wings!!!! Jimmy Howard is really playing well, and the kids are learning to play with the old guys finally. Hate to get too excited but it sure would be great if this really is the beginning of our guys turning this around!
I wish someone would clock Helm..that kid is so flipping fast I bet the coyotes thought the road runner had gotten into the game. All he needed to do was yell beep beep on his way by them, he had to be like the old cartoon, just a streak of color as he blew by.

Beep, Beep, lol! Glad to hear the Wings won.I guess the best way to clock Helm is get him in the skills competition at the All Star Game.I'm glad the players are finally meshing. Go Wings!

Glad you started a discussion about winning! As the canucks won over the stars too today. And I know the hurricanes also won against the rangers. Great wins! And great start for the new year.
I think the only team I know who lost today is Sarah's caps. Sorry about that.

So we are all happy tonight with our collective wins..Sarah still has the wings so she won't be overly sad. Canesfan should be checking in pretty soon to praise her guys then. Glad to hear your guys got another one in the win column too bounce. Good night for Hockey!!
We brought Helm up last year from Grand Rapids, He started this year as a wing and this kid seems to have 5th gear. He scored another empty netter tonight and there wasn't a thing the jackals..oops..the coyotes could do to stop him, and they were trying.

I would like to see Helm skate off against the Canucks' Mason Raymond. Too bad, Raymond caught an edge at the fastest skater contest at lastyear's All-Star Game otherwise he just might have won. I saw Helm in the playoffs last year and I did notice the speed. I believe both guys are from Alberta, so they must have played against each other in youth hockey.
