Picture attached. He's just another nasty Democrat with a nasty history. But that makes him the expert on war, right?

I don't agree with his political stance. I don't dislike him as a person, and I treasure his service in the forces and as a congressman. However, I do disagree with his political stance and his outrageous accusations of our troops

Thanks for your response. Murtha and the Democrats are constantly bad-mouthing our troops. Kind of like the news paper itself.

Murtha was one of the five people that went with Pelosi to Iraq this week. The symbolism will be that they will come back with new justifications for their political agenda. The reality will be that they will come back with no information that changes anything. Hillary was just there a week ago - could she not share her Democratic perspective with Pelosi? I think military service is great, and I really do respect those who have taken that path. However, many in Washington try to use that as the litmus test for anything else the person says or does. Like Jim Webb, because of his military service, I'm suppoesed to accept his turncoat ways, and his filthy novels. Another example is John McCain, I was chided once because I questioned McCain's position, since he had been a P.O.W. Regardles of a person's military history, their words and actions of today must stand on their own. From the Democrats side, it is all so hypocritical because they look down on military personnel, as so eloquently communicated to the nation by John Kerry.

I know nothing about this person or his stance about anything. Personally I am not for any of the politicians regardless of their rank, position, views, policies, or party affiliation. I think all politician think and act alike. I majored in political science in college and I have been among the circles. They are all a bunch of people bragging about their accomplishments. It does not matter who does what the other person ALWAYS has a negative opinion about the action or results of that person. I try to stay away from political debates because they are all so very useless. It does not matter how we the citizens feel about a politician, because they will not and do not change for the people. There is more baggage on Capitol Hill than every person in the world has in his or her own family.

I have no doubt that many of the points you make are true. There are many Americans thinking just like you that politics is a mess to be avoided. All political parties have a number of selfish, power hungry members that have no concept of being a public servant. I hope there are some that will do right. However, when it comes to the goals and aspirations of the poltical parties and what they believe, there are huge differences. I could never be a democrat because I oppose almost all of their positions. Republicans do a better job, usually. Unfortunately there are a bunch of Republicans now known as RINOs - Republican in Name Only. They are deceiving a lot of people. Thanks for your good response.
