Does FAILURES in life makes us more FATALISTIC?

Looking back to my past experiences in life, I realized that I have indeed encountered many failures in which I believe I have moved on with. Despite of these painful experience, I know it made me strong and wise. But unfortunately, I found out I transformed and had my own behavioral changes too. Somehow, i realized I became a little FATALISTIC, meaning..I get to live life on the present alone and not looking back in the past and future...Why not look at the past? because it's hurting especially if failures are remembered. Why not look at the future? because there is an avoidance of pain...avoidance of a possible failure in life..Don't you agree? do you have any failures in life which changed your behavior as well?

well a good winner is somebody who knows what its like to loose, I never look back as the past has gone and you are where you are now because of what happened in the past, the only thing you can change is what happens tomorrow, so why look back no point aslong as you learn from your mistakes then push on and become better. Well thats the way I live anyhow and its worked for me.

Wow, Benny and Oreo, you guys sound like pros on giving advices. You guys are so right...we learn and never look back...because our past is just a reminder how mistakes and failures can be avoided...oh well, some of them perhaps are man made and our past is a mirror of the old self...it could leave a scar or a wrinkle brought by time...but it just showed we are wiser now and we are strong. Thanks Benny and Oreo for your comments and response...happy mylotting.

We're like the boats in the ocean of life. The challenges, including the failures, are like the big waves. If we're strong enough, we'll stay well, but if we're too weak, we'll sink. The most important to learn after a failure is experience. We must see what led to that failure :it's because of the objective difficulties or it's our own fault. Believing in fate is good only if it keeps us resistant.

Yes coldmoon, if we're not strong enough then everything falls down. We live and we stumble fall but we learn from these mistakes. Thanks for the comment..this is very appreciated.

failure is just a mere wake-up call that we are humans, either it will break or make us, but the best part is that we gained knowledge, and thus making us to learn more of life's harsh realities. Never forget your failures as it would constantly remind you of the mistakes you made and things that you can avoid in the future.

I think it is possible to learn from failures in life. Failure can be painful but is is wise not to give up. I am fed up with failing my driving test. I know that I will keep trying with it in 2010. I have taken the necessary steps to get my car back on the road. Then I will be able to practice in it as well as in my driving instructors car. Now I need to make sure I feel relaxed on the day of my practical driving test. Someone told me "the past is history, now is the present which is a gift and the future is a mystery. I think it is wise to think of happy events from the past. Like if I think about the traveling I have done in the past it makes me happy. If I think of the failures it makes me feel unhappy. I am planning a happy future.

im sure you know very well how the great abraham lincoln had underwent so many failures before becoming a president. check this one: http://showcase.netins.net/web/creative/lincoln/education/failures.htm just like those successful people, i myself have my failures too. but it never stopped me from being persistent to achieve my goals in life. i always look at those people who become successful even with so many failures in life. happy mylotting hapsicordable1

Yes, I know the story behind the failures of Abraham Lincoln...it truly inspired me to achieve my goals and i eventually did it. He once wrote when he failed to win the senatorial election is "It is just a slip, but it was never a fall"...it inspired me never to give up just go on and never look back...but just learn from it and everything will go into the right place...at the right time. Thanks so much for the comment drakesuyat...happy mylotting my dear.

According to me failure is the first step to success, what if we have failure today, we have to wait till a silver lining appears in our life! Even I had some failures in the past but with constant work and effort it has converted to success now for this I feel that if I had no failure I would never have attempted to such efforts and achieved my goal today... So I have got courage to face any kind of failure in my future..bcoz failure and success are hand in hand..
