I used to drink so many energy drinks that it really took away my appetite. I stopped drinking them when I was pregnant with my son and now I dont ever drink one. I am wondering should I start drinkign them again to help me lose weight maybe? I dont know if they do that to everybody but they really did make me eat less. I am thinking maybe I should start drinking them like one a day. I was so hooked on them before that when I had to stop drinking them, my body was shaking from withdrawls from them....thats a shame. I felt like my body was quitting a drug addiction or something. i could not hold my hand steady at all, and it kind of scared me a little at first, that went away within a couple of days though. So what are peoples thoguhts about this? Should I start drinking them again? How bad are they really for you?

It depends which ones you have been drinking if they are bad for you. Not all energy drinks are equal. I curious about your hand shaking. You might want to consider it was shaking because, once you stop drinking the energy drink, you were deprived of a nutrient, or it was greatly diminished. It is quite possible what you were drinking was good for you. Shaking, assuming it was linked to your nervous system, could have been an indicator you were lacking the B-complex. Sometimes we do not eat correctly. Anyhow, please check the labels of those drinks. There might be something that you do need. Personally I take Shaklee protein drinks.

Oh it was MOnster energy drinks. specifically the green ones. I did not care for the blue ones, they did not taste good to me at all so I went for the green ones. I will have to check the label next time I am at the store. What am I looking for that would be a good thing??

Sorry for a delay in writing back but had over100 mylot emails to go through and I'm not finished yet! Look for the B-Complex or at leaset some of the B vitamins, and preferably from nature sources. Also the amino acid tryptophan.

Well,I think energy drinks are for those who doing exercise, they need those to make up the enery that they lost and keep them going. For a normal people, i don't think energy drink can do you any good. I personally drink it when i am off from playing badminton, i don't use it as daily drink. Water is the best drink for women!

Yes I am told this often that water is the best thign to drink. However I hate water. It does not have any kind of taste so if I drink water, I have to put something in it like a crystal light packet or something to make it taste good. I cannot just drink a glass of plain water, I never do because I do not like it.

Hi! I tried drinking energy drinks also and it made me eat much. I don't know maybe it makes our digestion faster that's why I easily get hungry :) But I think drinking too much could give side effects on our body.

I don't know if that is the best way to lose weight. Their are some energy drinks that are full of sugar and that is not good for you. They do have ones without sugar, but their is still the added caffiene. The amount in caffiene in one of thise drinks can sometimes be more than a cup of coffee. They are okay to drink every now and then, but they are bad for you.

Hello jesf1988 me too used to have a lots of energy drinks earlier as well as now also do sometimes.Well its good to have energy drinks as we sweat a lot, must have that much energy to continue with our daytoday life and its activities.Myself i feel energetic and fresh whenever am having some energy drinks. But I prefer to have simple natural energy drinks that consists of fruits and veggies, and other stuffs.Mostly in natural energy drinks it includes, all types of fruit juices, some milk shakes, Lassi, etc stuff. And think they are good with our breakfast, provides a lot of energy to us and refreshes us.Anyways keep it up with your energy drinks but it should be natural and not artificial.Happy mylotting.

I am sure that the monster energy drinks I used to drink are not made from natural ingredients. Well i am not certain, but I wouldnt guess them to be made of anything like fruits or veggies, they taste nothing like any kind of fruit, or any kind of vegetable. I am not sure what these are made of.

This of course is personal preference. As for me I drink them whenever I can for health reasons. Many dieters suggest to stop drinking caffine and carbonated beverages to loose weight and to cleanse your body. I drink energy drinks for the carbs and the vitamins that they provide, but to loose weigh with the carbs exercise should take place. this is what you are getting with "energy drinks" the vit. B and carbs as energy to allow wxercise to take place. If no exercise then it will be stored as fat and weight will be gained.

the only reason i can see about you shaking when not being able to drink is some chemicals from that drink has absorbed by your body and once runs out, those things inside will start saying that theyre lacking something. you must not tolerate your body with this chemically preserved drink coz no way it can help you become a healthy person. happy mylotting

i drink the cans of "mother", i do that instead of drinking coke if we get lunch in town. but i've never had with drawl symptoms, from drinking it. but if it's causing a problems may be you should just stay way from them or go see a doctor about it.

You should be back to normal in a few days. Your body is having withdrawls but it only takes a few days to get over that so don't give up and go back to drinking them. Those things are so full of sugar and sodium and things like that they can actually contribute to weight gain, and they obviously contain stimulants as well which is not good for stress levels.

I drink them on the rare occasion, but only because of the taste. I find that, despite their name, they give me no energy whatsoever. I agree that they are packed full of horrid ingredients and, although I said I do drink them rarely, I have never seen the point in them. They have no redeeming health benefits and some taste absolutely putrid
