Do you read?

Hey to all in MyLot Land, :) Everyone (with the ability) to read reads sometime (on the net, mail, etc.) but do you read books? Like fiction or non-fiction, cover to cover? Are you always in the middle of a book/story or do you just grab one when something catches your eye or something interesting is released?

Sometimes I read too much at the wrong times as well. I think it's easier to turn of the tv in the middle of am interesting show. But with a book, even though when I pick it up it'll be in the same place, I find it hard to stop reading. I get so "into" whatever I'm reading.

Oh yes, I read books - I am an avid reader and have been since I was a small child. I thrive on books whether they be fiction or non-fiction, although mostly nowadays, I read fiction. As soon as I finish one book, I can't wait to start another!

I don't read nearly as much as I used to before I had kids. Mostly what I read anymore are little kid stories. I did read the whole Twilight series in about a week. That is one thing I can say. When I do pick up a book I read it until I am done with the book.

I dun really like reading books.. haha =D I just dun have much patience for them.. No matter how interesting the contents might be, i will just focus on the exciting parts, and skipping majority of it.. lol =D I dun like the build up to the suspense, especially when it's too draggy.. hehe ^_^ Even when i'm reading the papers, i will scan thru the article, before deciding to read it for real.. haha =D

Yes I do read books, I love reading books, I don't have a lot of time for it though so mostly it is bathroom reading because sometimes that is the only time I have. I am on the third chapter of a Nora Roberts book. I am also listening to an audio book in my car when ever I am in there. Sometimes I read more than one book, one upstairs and one downstairs.

Yes, I do! I love reading some crimes or Sci-Fi novels. I also love the Bulgarian novels about the 500-years war and how we have fought for our freedom! I also love reading adventure novels, like there are many novels about Indians and their life and culture. I also love reading scientific magazines, because I love science and I love learning something new!

I've been reading since I was a kid. I always have a good book going on. A good book has saved me from being bored so many times that I can't tell you them all. Books are portable and anytime you are stuck waiting for someone or waiting for an appointment they help pass the time. On a long bus ride or plane ride they are the best company.

Yes, I do read books. I'm really an avid reader. It's something that I've enjoyed doing ever since I was a child. It was just something that I got into, and never stopped doing. As soon as I finish a book, I have an urge to start another book. I was always encouraged to read books. However, I think that I did it more on my own, more because I wanted to read more than anything else.

I am not really a reader but I do love to go to the bookstore go figure. I like to read things like another language I can try to learn or a cook book that is what I like to read.

I read a lot, I suppose because it's my escape...some people go to the movies, others day dream and others fight, I read. I can dive into a whole new world where the good guys always win or where anything can and will happen. I can escape from my life when it gets confusing or troubled and explore Hogwarts with Harry or discover new Monsters with Corydon or learn about the past or fantasize about the future. I might just read too much but eh, I'm compensating for my little brother who NEVER reads if he can help it lol.

I am a reader too. I just don't pick something at random. I like to choose stories and books that would really interest me. I like to read magazines too. I like to read fiction and non fiction books. I like to let my imagination soar with each book I read.

Hi UpsideDownPineapple, I love reading, though whether I can or not depends a lot on my mindset at the time. A few years ago I would read for an average of 6 hours a day because it was part of my schedule at the time. Alas I read while in motion so that had to stop as I became unhealthy and quite tired, but I still do read at least an hour a day when my mind is relaxed. I love reading, especially murder mysteries, and one of my simple joys in life is going to the library to see what they have on offer and storing the books for later. I just love the feeling of walking back at the end of the 3 weeks with a small pile of books I have read. I do tend to go for books that catch my eye, usually by their names but sometimes by their covers too. I have a few favourite authors too so I tend to check the shelves in their letters, and then branch out if I haven't already got a small pile of books. I love them though, I can't imagine my life without a pile of books somewhere waiting for me to read them All the best, Dranz

Yes, I read quite often. Fiction, non fiction, whatever, as long as it seems interesting, I check it out. Not as much as I used to unfortunately due to time but I do settle down with a book when I'm trying to unwind.

I love to read but sometimes I am a bit lazy to do so. Lately I bought a book which I really enjoyed reading. I think the book cover is the first to catch my eye. Then I take a quick look at what the story is about and see from there. But the book cover really catches me actually.

When I was in my high school days, I read of many different books and manage to have time for reading. But now, I am concentrating on my career. I seldom do reading some fictions but more on reviews and researches needed for my career. It was a great help for me and able to read quickly and understand well the topics. This prevent your brain from being a junk. But, give you many knowledge and information be needing for your own purposed and references.

I am an avid reader and keep on reading something or the other all the time. I like to read and really enjoy reading. Being a student I have to read my text books in order to get my graduation degree, but apart from the text books story books and novels are an integral part of my life. I don't feel alone if no one is at home,I feel the loneliness if I am left with nothing to read!
