I like reading comics Dragon Balls in my spare time,it helps me to relax. My wife likes reading Conan The Detective, she said it's good to sharpen her thinking. My daughters love to read Doraemon. I think it's good for them. After reading Doraemons , they are more imaginative, which will be useful for their creativity. Beside it increase their knowledge in some way. My whole family love reading comics. What about you?

i am a housewife and i still read japanese comics online. even right now, i'm actually reading and at the same time surfing the net. like this, it really helps me to spend my time doing something that i enjoy. at the same time, it also helps to improve my english and enhances my thinking and knowledge as your wife says. i too enjoy reading detective conan as well. in fact, i have made a blog about all the dramas that i like and the mangas that i have read. it's nothing fancy, just like my own journal about what i liked so that in the near future, if i'm free with nothing to read or watch, i can look at my blog and then re read/watch those titles again. hehe so far, i'm the only one with this interest in my family. my siblings and hubby are not really into these things and my children are still young, though i'm afraid they might get addicted just like i am. oh well.

i agree, we have to be selective in what they read as not all are good materials for young children. regarding comics, i read more of japanese comics or manga, so if those are the type you're looking for, then there are many sites that you can find them online. but the two sites that i always visit are mangafox and onemanga. it's really easy to browse through both sites. they're user friendly. and they have so many mangas to choose from, you'll be spoilt for choice. detective conan is being uploaded there as well. so your wife might really enjoy it. hehe they have all genres there. well i hope that you and your family enjoy reading from these sites as i do.

Hallo Sminut13...can you please tell me where you can read the comics online? We are very interested, cause you know I have mentioned before that my whole family love comic. I suggest if your kids get older and have the same hobby as you, you had better more selective to what kind of comics that suitable for them to read.Because not all of the mangas suitable for children.Happy reading!!!

I love comics! I read the Dragon Balls series when it came out here, always started on the wrong side of the book ;-) I read a couple of Norwegian series, Pondus (hmm, family sit-com maybe?), EON (inspired by Opus), Opus, Prince Valiant and lot of other comics. I also used to read Elf Quest and I have a lot of Star Wars comics somewhere. One day I shall get an extra book-case for them ...

*high five* I still have all of mine, I like them because they're different from the Norwegian comics and comics from other European countries. It's very comic like, with the eyes popping out etc. And it's easy to have it in a book if you want to take something to read on the bus.

YES! I read Indie comics mostly. "The Umbrella Academy" and "Hellboy" have been my favorites lately. I love "The Watchmen" and anything written by Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman.

Go to Dark Horse Comic books website, go to Top Cow's website, and go to Aspen's website, and you will find some really great comic books and titles there. I would say make a trip to Midtown Comics, Manhattan, NYC, NY or Golden Apple, Los Angeles, California, but I do not imagine that you can do that because it would be costly and expensive. Here in the U.S. we tend to have quite a few comic book stores left and they tend to have everything that you need.

Hallo friend....all of the titles you mentioned I never heard before. In my town most of the comics translated from Japan's mangas. Besides also the popular Harry potter series. Other than that I dont notice whether there's other type of comics. Thank You.

I never missed reading the comics section in every newspaper I come to read at hand. So, that qualifies me as an adult comics reader. Good humor can be found on comics section of the newspaper and sometimes, I do get some pointers and jokes to tell for my friends.

Oh really? Our local newspaper never publish any comics, if they do, I think I will read through the comics section too. But I wonder whether you have ever bought any comics from book store to read at home. since you like the comics so much. I agree that most of the comics contain little jokes. That's why we feel relax and happy after reading comics. Happy Reading and thank you for your kind attention.

The only reason I read the NY News is for the comics. I always read the comics. I learn to read by reading the comics. When I was small I read so many comics i dreamt in frames. The first time I read the classics it was in comic books. I have always encourage my children to read them. Today I read a at least four books a week. yes I read the comics and love them.

hallo...friend...It is good to observe others technic of drawing, but be careful dont be influenced or followed others style then you 'll loose your uniqueness...every artist or cartoonist will have their own style. Last but not least congratulations...and hope to see your artwork on market soon.....

No, i don't read comics now, when i was a child, i like it , but now, it seems not interesting to me.I like novel instead, especially detective novels, Harry Potter series... Some of my friends still like comics as a child, it doesn't matter, maybe it is personal habit.

Hallo acer5540...do you know the reason most of us like reading comics is because ...less text, more pictures. So easier to understand, not necessary to go through every lines to get the whole story. It is more relaxing rather than reading novel that's full of text. Reading novel will made me fall asleep. Yeah...it doesnt matter, it's only a matter of habit. Happy reading!!!

I don't think there is anything wrong to read a comics book as an adult. I would like to read comics if I have time myself. I would love to read some books, ever since my last book was two years ago. Unfortunately, economic situation, and all other circumstance, it makes me need to push myself to keep on make money instead of read books.

I read only certain comic strips each day. My favorites are baby blues, The wiz, Curtis, and non sequitor. A comic strip really has to catch my fancy for me to enjoy them. There are several other which I read on occasion but very rarely.

My husband is a huge comic book fan! In result of that, I read some myself. One of my favorites is Mr. Jean. I absolutely love attending Free Comic Book Day. It gives me a chance to read some comics I wouldn't typically buy and maybe then buy them in the future. Comics are fun and short reads if you don't have a lot of time to read them. I also think they're a lot of fun for kids. There really are a wide variety and range of comics out there for all sexes and ages!!

Hi Asanlee, I think that is awesome that your whole family loves reading comics, and you definitely shouldn't feel odd about it. Me I still read them too, but not as often as I used to because I get too distracted by doing things online and when I read I tend to go for novels because I read better when moving and novels are easier to read in motion. I will definitely still be reading the occasional comic as I get older. Heck since getting older should mean I need to move less to relax I will probably start to read more of them, especially manga. If the manga my avatar is from ever continues I will start reading it right away as it is my favourite ever and not continuing is an insane idea. My dad also reads comics and has a huge collection of them, he was the one who introduced me to them so being older and reading them is normal for me. Being an anime fan I have learnt that some people find adults and comics odd, but I never have. It is just some good, harmless fun lol! All the best and continue to love the comics Dranz

Look funny...but we are happy!!! As long as we are happy, why not, Right? Thank you.

Oh yes....no matter how od is your age...the important thing is young at heart...then it will keep you young forever!!! Maybe some of the beauty centre should provide comics for their customers, to beautify the inner side helps their customers to look younger. Dont you think is a good idea?
