The funny side of politics

United States

I saw this and just had to share. I know I usually post serious stuff. But we all deserve a laugh every once in a while. A man was arrested running NAKED around the white house. The secret service detained him. It was about 35 degrees during his "jogging trip". Why do you think he did this? A political statement? A joke? Mentally ill? Personally I think he must have had some kind of real reason. Why else would a man run around naked in freezing weather....that had to be painful on his manly bits. Not to mention going to jail naked. That was probly not much fun. Tell me what you think. Jokes and smart butt comments encouraged.

good one - i think this section needs more not so serious discussions. anyway there are only three explanations that would explain this bizarre behaviour; he was doing it as a bet he never got on big brother and realised that this was his only chance of fame he was bored

Politics and not serious in the same section? This is how Obama's are elected.

[looks at when discussion was started. looks at when little obama was brought into this - one hour later] a whole hour? good god, that has to be a record of some kind...

I can hear the conversation between the secret service agents now...lol... Agent1: ok, agent two, go over and detain that individual.... Agent2: uuuh..no...YOU go and detain him agent one Agent1: farque that....I'm not going over there.... AS to the manly bits...well, at 35 degrees their pretty much scared right up in to one's throat.

"well I would let someone else handle it." no pun intended?

and how long does it take for a painfully serious intense political debate to turn into a page from viz? [looks at clock] 2 hours apparently. not bad.

Perhaps he was searching for a kindred spirit in the wrong place? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRG9r8tQ9zg Or maybe he's just plain crazy. I vote the latter.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRG9r8tQ9zg Stupid finicky links. Why can't you just behave like you're supposed to?

Crazy? Well you think someone crazy, I mean truely crazy would come up with something more orginal that streaking the white house in freezing weather. I did hear the secret service sent him to a mental hospital for "observation".

Maybe he thought they would take him in the White House since those that are supposed to live there are rarely home - instead they are out touring the world at taxpayer expense.

Maybe he was trying to show the White House a stimulus package in actual motion.

I doubt with how cold it was that his "package" was very "stimulated". Which means it worked about as well as the real stimulus package did. LOL

Yeah, it didn't work out too well at all. In fact, my initial response was gonna be, "Maybe he's reenacting how the stimulus package flopped." But I wasn't trying to go that far with my mind's eye. See what you made me do!

Sorry for the bad mental image. Think happy thoughts. Think happy thoughts.

Personally I would put my money down on it being some silly bet. Some people will do anything if dared to do it. This was not an obviously good idea but whatever. I am a bit interested as to how they charge the man. Will it be just indecent exposure or will it be made into so much more because of where he did it?

...Perhaps it was a political statement saying there's too many nuts and butt-heads in government!!

Streaking the White House? What a coup!! I remember when streaking was all the rage...and it was usually the result of a dare. I wonder if they had to tackle him to the ground. Betcha frigid manly bits hitting the ice cold ground hurt pretty bad.

Oh I am sure this whole thing has been a painful expierence for this poor idiot. Not to mention the secret service men that had to deal with him.

Maybe he wanted an invitation to the White House and wanted to prove he had nothing to hide, but I'm betting on crazy or a dare.

Maybe he was setting himself up to try out the new health care plan? I hear that it is suppose to cover some crazy stuff. Maybe some kind of manhood repairs from the frostbite he was going to have?
