For many of us it is a way of life to find ways to earn from home. The economy has taken a serious bite out of us and now we are finding ways of biting back. I have several ways that I have earned on the side all through the internet. Some of them may help you some may not, however all are legitimate concepts and have helped out my family a great deal this past year alone. If you are a writer or can write well, there are many sites that are looking for you. One site, that I have earned over $700 on in the past 6 months is a site called Textbroker. You have to go through a writing test of sorts to see if you can qualify and where your level is for writing, but it is a start and with the more articles that you write and produce for the many customers, the better off that you are. Still in the writing realm, Associated Content also pays its writers, lately, however, you don't get paid much, but in this writer's opinion, every little bit helps. If you can produce good quality information quickly, this is another site that is a good place to start. You need to set up an account, send in a sample of your writing then wait. Are you good at research, do you enjoy helping people locate information that they are after? There are two places that you can go to help with directory assistance of sorts. One site that has had many commercials produced recently is called KGB. This organization has you assist in finding information for customers who text in to the company. You only make .10 for each completed question, but if you are fast and can give accurate information, you can make a lot of money quickly. You need to go to their website and take a test, from there, you are sent to training, then put on the floor so to speak. It is all done via the internet. You can sit at home in your PJs and slippers. A company that is similar to this one is called Cha-cha, they have the same concept. I'm not sure what they pay, but, it wouldn't hurt to find out. Become a mystery shopper. There are a few companies out there that are looking for shoppers. Some cases you don't have to spend any thing, it is simply about time. Two companies that are good to work with are; Certified Field Associates and Marketforce. These two companies work side by side. They have a lot of fun jobs that you can do. Other companies that need people and are legitimate in the field of mystery shopping are: Bare International, Corporate Research International, Amusement Advantage. These companies do pay and are great to work with. You have to make sure that you complete the appropriate paperwork they need. Many people find this to be a pain but the rewards in the end are always a nice perk. What are some of the legitimate jobs that you have done? Wanna share?

I think textbroker only accepts US writers so far. In their FAQ they state that they are working towards accepting international writers. Hope it will be soon.

You are correct, it is only for U.S. writers right now. Hopefully, they can get everything established and then you can work for them.
