Does your cat come?

Just now I couldn't find Toby, my stripy orange cat. He's pretty young and mischevious and was being too quiet. I wasn't worried about finding him though, as he was probably curled up somewhere. I grabbed a couple cat toys, shook them and waited for him to come to me for petting. Does your cat come to you when you call/summon them?

Yes, I have 14 cats (at present) and they all come when they are called.. well most of them.. some are still young kittens learning their names and one poor baby doesn't even have one yet. But Often my cats wander a couple of yards away and I yell for them over the fence and they come some even respond to me By MEOWING very loudly their whole walk back.. SO I have to keep talking to them. I say their name.. they MEOW..(maybe they are saying "I'm Coming!") I say their name.. THey meow. lol now it's "Hold your Horses mom!", I say their name.. MEOW is getting louder now.. lol "I'm Here, will you stop yelling my name!"

awwww. this post made me miss baby toby so much! (he's away getting fixed right now.) He meows loud like that when he's looking for me, his mom :)

My cat usually comes when I call her. If she is outside or busy doing something she tends to ignore my calls. Normally, though, I can call her and she'll come to see what I want. A lot of the time I just have to open the refrigerator door and she comes rushing over because she thinks she's getting a treat.

Tobs knows where his food is, so he runs from whereever he is when he heres the closet open.

yes they will come when I call or they see me, I did not bring my cat into my new house, but I know they could become independent. Although they are far gone would be home if they see someone they knew. They like to bathe in the sand and sleep around.
