Where do I find Red Heart classic line?

United States

I made a had from a pattern I copied off of a hat she made for my middle child. Well their troop leader said she loved the hat. And I thought I would like to make her one. However the place I bought the yarn at is no longer in business. Wal-mart doesn't carry Red Heart classic. So then my only other choice would be Michaels or JoAnn's... Have you seen Red Heart classic at either of those places?

i think my mom used to buy hers at jo-ann's.. you know what place usually has it though? salvation army stores,if you have one. people donate new unused yarn to them all the time,i'd gotten my mom a big bag of it recently.

My Salvation Army I have only seen yarn in their once and it's nothing I wanted. Otherwise they have latchhook kit remnants and that you can't do crochet with that's for sure. I luck out and find stuff at rummages but I know what color I want of their calssic verigated it's the raspberry that goes into a lighter pink then to white. I don't have enough left to do much more than a few granny squares with it.

I am thinking maybe Joanne. I am not sure which yarn is classic Red Heart though.

The label will say Red Heart Classic on it. I would assume if they are classics they are the best selling colors they've made over the years that they continue to produce.

I found it listed in Joann's online store as sold in select stores. Otherwise you can buy from them online. I think I'd call around your local stores just to see what they have in stock. (I hate driving all over town hunting.)

That's the thing too.... I don't like driving everywhere wasting gas & dragging 3 small kids with to find out they don't have it. Then of course too when you call is to not get po'd w/ their automated systems or even get a clerk that knows what you are talking about.

I usually get my yarn mostly on ebay but if you are not comfortable with ebay, I would try Michaels or Jo Ann Fabrics. I think one time I did see the classic line at both stores.

I can't speak for Michaels because I have never been there and not even sure where the nearest on may be but I do know that JoAnns does carry it or atleast they did a year ago when I last purchased it there. I haven't bought any yarn in a long time...and need to get back to it.

Is there free cycle or cheap cycle in your area? There could be someone that would have some of it available in your area that they aren't going to be using. If that idea won't work out for you, perhaps Ebay could be of help to you. It also seems like Michaels carries it, but I am not 100 percent sure. And, again, it could be that they only carry certain lines in certain regions and I'm not exactly sure where you are. If you don't have any luck, let me know and I'll try to look around for you around here.

I've seen Joann's advertize it online - you might call the store than make a special trip over - same with Michaels
