This is one of those strange but funny discussions (LOL)! My cats are used to the farting that goes on in our house, between my husband and daughter who have farting competitions (so much for good parenting. If the cats were to concern themselves every time they heard or smelled a fart they would be seriously traumatised!

I think the most that a cat has ever done was when I farted in bed and the cat proceeded to stick his nose into the blankets in that area - and it was a stinker too!

Unless its a real odd sound, our cats don't even look up. They are more concerned about weather or not the cold will get them or not. They can act real skittish sometimes as well. But, more often then not, they ignore me unless I do something truly painful such as crash into something.

My cat does not really care too much if I fart he just kind of looks at me like saying "Nice One" and then continues his resting.. AHHH such an easy life for cats.

Well, usually they pass out. Then they don't do much more than twitch for a little while until I get them into the ground.

I think my cat will do noting. IMO. something that smells bad for human-being may be not so bad for animals.
