How much time do you spend looking for discussions worth responding? I think I'm spending too much time browsing for discussions I'm likely to respond. I hope I can be more faster than the usual. I would like to participate as much as possible but sometimes I ran out of ideas and words.

Well, the same thing happens to me :3 Sometimes I would just say " okay, i'll try to respond to this discussion " and then I don't know what to say.. Because the other commenters posted all the info I wanted to say . :X

^ lol you are being funny. its like you are telling him to jump, go jump! hehe..

Sometimes I get that feeling, I log in and very few discussions jump out at me which really make me want to respond to them and I know if I go digging around for older discussions I could end up spending too much time aimlesly surfing. But then there are days where I feel inundated by good discussions. I guess you just have to go with the flow and if nothing appeals then find something else to do and check back here at another time.

Yes, that was true. It really takes time to find discussions to respond. But when there are no new topics around, I dig on older ones because there are some interesting discussions on the next few pages. Or, if you can't see anything that you can respond, try to view those topics without responses and try to help them out to find answers to their questions. I also look back on discussions I posted and responded to check if there is a new post and I respond to them while waiting for new discussions to be posted by other users.

I also do the same. I'll go in my friend's started, then go to no responses. But sometimes going to no responses will also leave me not responding, no wonder it has no responses.

Everytime I log in . I just feel wtf I can't find any interesting thread but like other members do I usually dig older discussion to read and respond to it.

Yes sometimes I'm also like that I'm spending too much time to look for the discussions that I can answer. Most of the time I'm ran out of words and I don't know what to answer anymore to a particular discussion. When I can't see any interesting discussions I only read the responses of other people so I have an idea what I'm going to answer.

Yes, sometimes I search really hard to find a discussion I am interested in and when I find it (like this one) it has so many responses, that I don't actually have to add something which has not been said before.

Hi maria1081, Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It all depends on how active I am. If I have been very active, then I would have gone through so many discussions in the various categories that finding something "new" to answer to would be challenging. Otherwise, I am cool and can generally pick up something to respond to after some browsing around. Cheers!

Occassionally it will happen to me that I have a difficult time finding discussions to which I would like to respond. However, the majority of the time I have the opposite problem. I will see a ton of discussions that I want to respond to and I won't have enough time to respond to them all. I love the time that I am able to spend on mylot, I only wish that I was able to find more time in the day so that I can respond to more discussions.

I usually tend to respond those discussions under the "recent" column. These way, it is easier to find which discussions are more recent. Top discussions too is very much helpful for me as I can always check those discussions that many members responded.

I just signed up 2 days ago, and I am already wondering if this is even worth it, does anyone else feel that way, I have done alot of searching thru discussions, and I just dont want to post anything just to make a penny in my account, yet the money wont add up unless you do, and yet the time it takes just to find discussions you want to join is hardly worth it! Now maybe Im just not used to this whole thing yet.... I dont know!

Depends on the day really, if I am spending so much time. There are days where there are so many discussions that jump out at me. Discussions that I have to add my two cents to and contribute to. In fact, so many, I just do not know where to begin. Other days, not so much. The discussions are there, but I'm just not feeling it right now. In fact, I think it might not be the discussions. It might just be me. I can get into weird grooves where I can fire off decent length responses to about ten or so discussions without missing a beat. Then there are days where I struggle to find a discussion that I can add even the barest amount to. So really, some days are good and some days are not so good.

I do pick and choose which discussions to respond to but i don't think i spend too long looking for the right ones. I can usually tell just from the titles whether or not i would have any response for a discussion you i tend to just scroll through the days top discussions and pick out some good ones, like this :P

I understand your feeling on this, but looking for discussions you are interested in is the key to having and giving good responses. If your interested in something than your more likely to have insight into it and make a good comment that adds to the discussion. I wouldn't worry too much about good discussions. There may times when there are a whole lot of dumb things on the boards, but they are constantly changing and it isn't long before there is something good to respond to.

I most of time feel the same way as you do. It seems to me its hard to find interesting discussions to participate on. I do hope we can get more fascinating topics and ideas to talk about or even start a new discussion that you think are interesting. Let's keep myLot growing and keep active here.

Hi,maria1081.I always spend a lot time looking for discusiions worth responding, and just now I found yours.I like to respond but I think it's difficult to find the discusiion. There are many reasons accounting for this.Sometimes,I can't find a discussion I want to participate ,or when I find it,my poor English limites me to join in.It's really upset me.

Yeah, maria, sometimes me, too. It's easy to post responses if the sense right, but sometimes it's quite difficult. Once I spend almost eight hours to read discussions, but only posted one response. Yes, it sounds bad! But it's true. But now I always try to find the first one, so that it can become easier! I find if I start to respond, it always encourage me to do more. And everything becomes easier.

When I have no idea, then I'll take break and no responding to anyone. I just can not think if there are too many discussions that came out while I had no preparation to answer. It takes a long time because I usually always choose which ones should be addressed.

Hi, Maria! It always happens when we are trying to participate more, but we are stuck at some pages. It's either because we have run out of ideas on how to construct the sentences or we are still browsing for discussions that are of our interests. It really slows me down, too. I wish I could be much faster in making responses, but even when sometimes I do find the discussions that I find are interesting, I still spend some of my time reading other responses.

Hello maria1081 me too often do spend a lot of time in finding an proper discussions to respond it.Well a few times it had happened that, i have to surf for 5-10 min for getting an single discussion to respond, as there were no new discusisons started and not of mine knowledge subjects.Yeah i like to respond to the discussion that are of my likes, having some knowledge about it, also some handy info about it.But think normally its cool to get an discussion to respond, as the mylot gains some pace in its mylotters activities.Anyways keep on with participation at mylot will find more an dmore discussions to respond to. Happy mylotting.
