Told me that she is now into stocks. She underwent an operation last year and so had to stop going to school. She should be graduating this March. She shared to me her experience and she kept telling me how thankful she was that she learned much from me in her Investment subject. She also told me that somehow, the earnings she had from her investments helped her buy her medicines that will help her recover. This is a very great experience. This is in fact one of those visits I get every once in a while. Again... fruits of hard labor...

It must be incredibly rewarding to know how much of a difference you made in a person's life. She is probably just one of many who have been touched by your work and the example you have set. I am also very glad to hear she will be able to afford her medicine. It is very scary to be sick and not know how one is going to pay one's bills. You should be very proud of yourself. You have done something that not everyone can say they did. You have made a difference.

Yes AmbiePam, I am very happy to know that she has source of income to buy her medicines. I am very happy also to know that I have students who value what they learn from school. Thanks for the response!

What is more satisfying for a teacher is seeing her students successful in their careers. It is not surprising to see the president of a country paying tribute to his teacher. His achievement is a pride for the teacher as she share part of the success in shaping a great president that is governing the country.

It is indeed a great experience to see students succeed and it is euphoric having students remember you and thank you for a job well done...

Your friend was lucky. I have a colleague who invested money in stocks and it's been a year and he's still short of getting his original investment. He did it during the recession in the US. He was sorry why he did it in the first place because he could have used the money to invest somewhere else. So now, he is still waiting until he can at least get his original investment before pulling everything out.

well that's good news, atleast some students are really listening to the teacher's discussions. it is really rare to find a student who applies what she learns in the classroom into real life situation. most students would listen then leave everything as they leave the room, everything including what they've learned. but their is always a silver-lining to every cloud, maybe i will be one of the students who'll visit you one day ma'am and tell you how your teachings have changed my life...
