gym age

Well to start,im a 19yr boy and am thinking of joining a gym.But some ppl are telling me that i should do so a little later.Please help me decide properly and also tell me the pros and cons of joining at this age. P.S.am quiet healthy rite now. Reply

I THINK WE HAVE TO START THE ZYM AT THE AGE OF 20. What i obeserved that some kids at the age 12 and 13 starting the Zym. But it will very harmful to them. Specially the main disadvantage is if we start Zym in early days we will not grow. Height is very Important specially for Males.

Lifting at 12 or 13 can be harmful if the body is pushed too far. I've never heard of it stunting the growth although lack of flexibility can be a negative, It depends on what you are going for. As a 19 year old I doubt that this person would have the same concerns as a 12 year old. Go for it!

At the age of 12 or 13 running is the best option. If these goys lift too much heavy bursen on their shoulders definitely it will effect their Growth. I HAVE SEEN LOT OF CASES PRACTICALLY.

HI! I think there is no problem to go to gym at your age, you should done this even earlier, but now it is also good. I also started go to gym when I was 19, so that's why I think there is nothing wrong

YOu are in the prime age to start building muscle mass. Start now and you could be twenty pounds bigger or more by this time next year. Go to the gym and work with a trainer there as often as you can. Or perhaps read books on weight training to ensure that you have proper form. Maybe you might try to find a friend in a more experienced weightlifter (if that is what your goal is) and they can help spot you and give you some pointers. Good luck, Explode!

I don't think that there is an age for joining gym. But there are specific things that you need to do depending upon your age. Early starters need to make sure their body is flexible and not just muscular. They also need to take care of their growing heights as doing wrong exercise will stop the growth of the height. Best thing is to make your gym instructor aware of your needs. Best of luck...

regardless of your goal and gender, it is right time for you if you want to get fit, if you are guy and your goal is to build muscle, well, take the advantage of your age cause you have still high level of naturally produced steroid hormones (growth hormones)...don't listening to those empty nut head people..

I think it is good you are joining now as in early age such as 19 ,its good to start and I don't think there is anything yo worry about as my brother went to the gym at this age and he is not having any problems.If you are joining gym do look to it that you take sufficient time for it and do continue it for longer period.
