I live in a neighborhood where people walk their dogs, and they'll let their dog poop on your front lawn, then they walk away leaving it there.I think that's so rude.I used to live in a city where you get a fine for not picking up the poop. Here in my neighborhood, where I now live, there are no signs.I have a dog I walk, and I take along a poop baggie.Do you live where people just leave the poop there?

I personally think that dog owners should pick up the poop. I live in a big city too and a lot of these people in my neighborhood do get the newspaper. I say they should use the sleeve the newspaper for picking up the poop, tying it up and trash it. Why leave it on the ground where someone can get it on their shoes. I have seen poop on the sidewalk and in the grass. Now there is snow on the ground so I really got to look down and be careful where I step. It gets on my nerves.

I remember a time I forgot to bring a baggie with me ,so I have taken the sleeve off a newspaper to pick it up.It is useful.I wonder what the matter with people these days. They ignore the law when there is one about it.I look at the ground when I walk.

Hi Java09 . I live in a small city and there is a fine for not cleaning it up. However, it still happens and the law is not often enforced to my knowledge. People walking their dogs by our house seem to have respect. However, there are stray dogs around here.

You're lucky that the people have respect there. Here if there are laws people don't listen to them anyways. The police ,I don't see them driving around here,so it isn't enforced, thank you for responding!

There is a problem like this all over. People want a pet, instead of doing the poop in their own yard they sooner let it happen in yours. They also train their dog the same way, to be inconsiderate and uncaring.Their home might be the same as the poop.. When u find people like this pick up the poop, follow this a@$!$$ to their residents and drop it in their mail box or mail slot... As far as the training part, they might just take kindly to your actions and pick up , train their pet and take care of them properly. REMEMBER ALWAYS LUV/ CARE FOR YOUR DOG/ PET, THEY WILL ALWAYS LUV U..

You're right about that.People want a pet but not to clean up after it.I think the owners are training their dog to be like them.

Of course I pick it up, and would expect others to do the same really. I always complain when I see dog mess on the floor and am annoyed at people who neglect it, so me not cleaning up the mess of my dog would be very hypocritical. It's disgusting and has no need to be left on the ground (unless your only means of picking it up is with your bare hands, then I may be more forgiving).

There are no fines like that or any law for that matter in where I live. Stray dogs are common in our country. But in my neighborhood, our neighbors from the house across let their dogs out in the morning where in they poop and pee in our front lawn or right on the road in front where we could step on it. We keep a dog in our house as well, but we let it poop in our backyard and do not let it out alone in the streets. We just had enough of it so we reprimanded them to be responsible with their pets.

Even in your country they should set some laws about it,because then people walking around step in it.People should have respect and think about the person that may step in it.Thank you for your response.

I live across the street from a public commons where everyone in the city walks their dogs. I've noticed it's about half and half. Some people pick it up and put it in the trash and some don't. You are right....leaving it there is rude.

Where ever it is someone is bound to step in it.People should at least walk their dog near a field or something if they're that lazy they don't want to pick it up.I noticed all over the neighborhood you have to be careful where you step.

Hello! We have a law in my country according to which you have to pick it up in a baggie so I always pick it up not to pay penalty. Sometimes when it is very cold and lots of snow and if noone sees then I don't collect it. But I never leave it where people see it...I agree with you it's kinda rude. Happy mylotting!

For me I like to pick it up because I think of someone stepping in it.I wouldn't want it to be me.Alot of people don't listen to the law anyways,at least we're polite and pick it up.

I don't catch them because it's winter time and I don't keep my curtains opened, but you still would think people don't want to be a pig.I would love to put it on their own lawn.

In my neighborhood I never really see that happen. That does sound extremely rude though, and I think that if a person is going to walk there dog, then they should put a plastic bag in their pocket before they leave the house. That way they can be prepared for if their dog does poop. If somehow the person forgot to bring a bag though, they should at least have enough respect to go back home, get a bag, and then come back and pick it up. You should definitely point it out to one of these people if their dog keeps doing it and they never pick it up. That is really rude, especially if you don't own a dog yourself. It just gives you a chore that you shouldn't have to do.

You're lucky because it sounds like the people do pick up after their dog where you live. Here even if there is a law,the people don't listen to it.I stare at the ground when I walk.People are slobs here.If they're lazy about picking it up,then they should walk the dog to a field, because there is a field at the end of my street.I have a dog I always take a baggie along with me in case.

Check with your county or city office, I bet you will find that it is an ordance where you are that people must clean up after their dogs. Other dogs come in my yard and poop but can't really say much becuase I live in the country and people let their dogs roam so we never really know whose dog did the duty. But as for my little dog she does her duty in our yard only and it is so small that it disappers in less than two days.

Well,I know where I came from there was a law and you get a fine for not picking it up.Here they should post signs.People would probably ignore it anyways. The city I'm from the people listened to the law and here they don't.
