How to find interesting discussions on myLot

It can be hard browsing through all the discussions on here to find something interestng. When I see a good discussion I check out the profiles of the user who posted it and usually find other just as interesting topics there. A member who posts intelligent and interesting discussions is also more likely to participate in other interesting ones so it's a good idea to follow the discussions he/she has responded to. If you are reading a discussion and see an interesting and well written response, checkthe profile of that user and see if he/she hasn't posted something interesting. If you are looking for a specific topic, try the search bar in the top left corner. Do you normally check at the bottom of the discussion page you are reading what other similar discussions are here? Do you just ignore them or do they usually attract the curiousity in you enough to click on them?

I have found a lot of interesting users that way and it can also be interested to check their profiles and check out their friends discussions. I have noticed that most of the people I have in my friends list, also have each other in theirs so I guess we all have similar interests when it comes to myLot discussions.

I check the bottom of the page after responding, and also, I do profile checks. Sometimes I find someone that has VERY interesting topics and just go straight down the list...lol...haven't heard from you lately, are you ok?

Yes, the search is good when you are looking for someting specific but you don't always know what you are looking for and the search feature needs to be improved so it works better.

I tend to browse through my friends conversations first; then follow the ones linked below. You are right about checking profiles - often if you enjoy one discussion started by someone you are likely to enjoy the others as well! I am also struggling to find conversationbs "worth" responding to though. It seems like we all know everybodys favourite color, their favourite food, the first letter of their names, their birthdates and where they are from - TO MENTION A FEW "GEMS" LOL Anyway it's always nice to know that there are some real conversations going on :)

You learn pretty quickly who is posting interesting discussions. I tend to follow the same members around.

As always, I will follow your advice. I have read a lot more here than I have responded to and it can be fun just to read the discussions but I usually don't leave a comment unless I find it really interesting

Yes of course you know better than not to follow my advice :). You haven't been very active on here though, you need to speed it up if your'e going to make the limit before the end of the month. Thought you were going to help me add to the charity.

Use the Topic Search, or the Surf profiles, use the Discussions search hot topics search, etc. :) ... Check your friends regularly :) - DNatureofDTrain

Thanks for the tip, that is a good one, everyone should follow that. Lets make the discussion with substance the popular ones and not the silly questions that people ask over and over.
