I LOVE sending and receiving mail. I send cards to my family all the time just to let them know I'm thinking of them. Just this past week I sent a batch out. I also love sending cards for Birthdays and other holidays like Christmas, Valentine's Day and Halloween. Lets just say I'm a platinum Hallmark member. lol So I'm curious - how many of you out there are card senders? When do you typically send cards and to who? Just close family members or maybe friends too?

I love snail mail too! It's so much cooler than sending emails or texts..It feels a lot more personalized, yanno? I send out Christmas cards but really only to a select few - close friends, the soldiers I've adopted, and close family members who don't live with me. I haven't been in a Hallmark store in AGES! But I absolutely love the majority of cards that TARGET offers!

Not anymore. Two main contributor of it is when I got a computer and later on a cellphone. Now If I wanted to greet a person, I would just directly give him/her a ring. Or chatting over the net.

Hello Jennlk, I will send out cards for Christmas and I also try to get cards out for birthdays but there are many times when I don't. I have a calendar with family members and friends birthdays on and if I don't get the chance to send out a card to everyone on their birthdays I will at least try to give them a call. I love getting mail to especially when it comes from friends and not more bills and such...

I only remember I often sent cards to my friends during the high school period for holidays such as Valentine's day,The new year's day or their birthday. But as the time goes by,I rarely send cards to others or receive one.Now I would like to send only SMS to my families or close friends to show my best wishes. It is much easier and faster.

I stopped sending card when I was in high school. Because it is extra cost to send it when I can relay my messages to my friends and family through online chat, email, or SMS. During special occasions, I send gifts if can not attend. It is very thoughtful of you to still do card sending.

I buy cards for Birthdays, Christmas, Valentines Day, Morthers Day, Fathers Day and Anniversaries. I buy cards for my family and friends. My cats send my husband Fathers Day Card, Christmas and birthday cards. I have tried teaching them how to sign named their names, but they won't. I am also a Hallmark member as well. I send cards to family and friends. I also love receiving cards.

I'm not a card sender at all. I didn't even get Christmas cards out this year. I'll usually at least send out birthday cards. I just can't see paying 2 or 3 dollars for a card that someone will look at then throw away in a few days. I can't afford to send that many cards. I guess if I had more money I might.
