I was just listening to CNN. I shouldn't have because it just breaks my heart. There was a correspondent over there who said he was missing his kids so he was setting and playing with the little children at this orphage where he was telecasting from. He said they were all very well behaved and the two women that ran the orphage were just outstanding. The two had told him of the papers that were lost in the earthquake. Papers that were for adoptions of these little children. And the two women that worked in the office(where the papers had been) had been killed. They didn't know how long it would be now before they got it all straightened out and could put the adoptions through. Can you believe it? How very sad!! These poor little kids that were in desperate need for homes and families now have to wait even longer for adoption. Your thoughts. Times like these we(I) need a site/group hug.

So many possible scenarios, it's frightening. You know the two kids are OK, but what about the people who were adopting them? Are they OK? It would be horrible if they lost them before they even got them. Hopefully, the paperwork was copied and the prospective parents are OK and have their copies. Otherwise, they may have to wait and start all over again. But then again, what about the homes of the parents that want to adopt them. Are the homes OK?

I thought you were only talking about a couple. Misunderstood, sorry. Glad the 25 are OK. Yeah, would be nice if they had copies.

There are actually twenty five children at this one orphanage. I hope the adoptive parents have copies of the paperwork.

I think that it is very sad what is going on over there. That so many are waiting on adoptions, and because of the earthquake it's gone all to heck! I hope that they can rebuild and sift through soon, but I know that so many countries are going to the rescue.

Alice! I've heard whispers in my ear about George Clooney but nothing that caught my attention enough to "investigate" as I like to say when I'm out of the room of the t.v. Hmm, a mylotter I believe we both know from Jamaica has started a discussion about someone close to her being in Haiti.

Yes, and I gues George Clooney is going to head a telethon on Friday so this should be a real step in the right direction. I think folks like that that make so much money should help.

Yes I've been listening to this ever since the earthquake first struck on Tuesday. I saw your comment about a religious leader. Yeah, heard that winner too. He claims that Haiti suffered this earthquake due to the people selling their souls to the Devil..what crock

I can understand people becoming/being religious and believing in 'their God' but when they start with this type of crap it really goes against the grain and my being and agnostic that more paramount to me.

Last year, we got such as really good shook but it was not last long and no accident reported. I called that it was a lucky day. I pray to god and hope thing will get better there soon

Did you hear that religious leader who feels this earthquake was caused by devil worshiping? Amazing.

(hug) I know what you mean. It is a very sad situation over there right now. A disaster like that tears up more than peoples homes.
