Do you talk to your pets?

I talk a lot to my pet dog.I feel that he understands every word I say to him. at least he does when he is in the mood, but when I am strict with him he pretends as if I am not talking to him and looks elsewhere LOL...Dogs are such intelligent animals and though they are not able to speak they can make themselves understood by their expressions and barks ...

Hi there Java! Yes, sometimes, I talk to my pets too. Usually aloud when I tell them to do something or go somewhere or stop what they were doing.

With 4 dogs and 14 cats I would have to say yes! I do talk to my animals all the time.. Most of my conversations during the day are a little one sided but usually involve them in some way. :-)

I talk to my horse all the time, but as he hardly ever does as I tell him to I don't think he understands. If he understands, then he's really stubborn :-)

yeah i do talk to my pets! i have 2 in particular ryt now: the first is our family puppy. we call him "jamal" taken from the movie "slumdog millionaire" lol. jamal is our first pet dog, we love him, we take care of him, we play with him, and we talk to him. dogs are smart pets and they understand what people say. our second pet is a fish, we name it "barack" because it's pure black. though it surely can't understand what we say, we still like talking to it. we simply say "hi, barack..aren't u hungry yet?" (sometimes, we joke like saying, "are we gonna get over this recession?"lol. the point is, talking to pets is good.

Well yeah, I talk to my pets too. But not in a conversation type of way. I just tell him, for example my dog, commands, like sit, stay, etc. And sometimes some baby talk when I'm playing with it.

I do. My dogs seem to tilt their head and listen when I talk to them. It is comforting.

I always talked to my puppy named DOTS. Even though I know that she cant understand me, at least i let her feel that she is loved. And yes.. I love her so much as if she is may baby.
