I really really want to get a tattoo, but

I don't know what to get or where to get it. I know that I absolutely want the Sublime sun somewhere, Maybe turn it into a trampstamp with tribal on the sides, but there's some much detail I don't know how much it would cost. Or I want Stars on my Rib cages, but I'm scared that's going to be really painful. I know it differs for people, like pain tolerancy or whatever. But if you have a trampstamp or rib cage tattoo can you share your insight with me. Also, how much does it cost so I know how much I'm going to need. Well and estimate or what not. Thank you. =]

I have 5 tattoos - one on my foot, one near each ankle, one on my calf and a big one on the back of my neck. Out of all of them, right above my ankle bone was probably the least painful. The one on the back of my neck made me want to tear up! lol Before you do anything on your ribcage - I suggest you getting one somewhere a little more... normal, so you can experience the odd sence of pain that it is. I will admit, they're addicting whether they bring tears to your eyes or not! haha The Sublime sun would be awesome somewhere!! Oh, and hold off on the rib cage one if you're going to have kids too!

OMG are they ever addicting weither they hurt like hell or not LoL! And that was awesome advice on staying away from the rib cage if she wants to have kids, any kind of weight gain can do it too! The tattoo I got the day after I turned 18 that is on my abdomen doesn't look anywhere near as good now (in my 30's and after 2 kids) as it did back when I got it at 18!

On my 18th birthday I got a butterfly done on my back - it was a doodle in my trig notebook and I was determined to get it tattoo'd. Then I went about 4 years later and got another butterfly above it - then they just didn't look cool together. So after my husband and I got married, we went to the tattoo shop and I had him redesign the two I had, and we added leaves and such around it and wrote "Dixon" (my new last name)between them... looks pretty stinkin' awesome now! haha But yeah, I knew better than to get any where fat fluctuates frequently! haha

OH YEAH! And most shop minimums are around $60 or so - I'm guessing if you wanted to do the Sublime sun with the tribal coming out either side or whatever, you're probably lookint at around $150 - $225ish, depending on where you go!

I have six tattoos now, four of which are all my own artwork. One I have my birthdate and a copywrite symbol so I have copywritten myself LOL and the last one is a memorial tattoo for my late Father, a picture of his drumkit. All my tattoos are on my shoulders and upper arms, and while they sting when they are being done, I want more.

I don't have a tattoo in either spot (back tramp stamp or on the rib cage) so I can't answer that question for you, but I think your best bet would be to go to a tattoo parlor, tell them what you want, and get an estimate so that way if and when you do make an appointment and get it done you will know how much to bring =)
