I want to start out by saying, what happened in Haiti is truly horrible. However, I watch the new and can't help but wonder one thing. Where is the U.S. getting all this money to donate to Haiti? The government, and Obama, are giving funds to them. We, as a country are in debt, where is this money coming from?

No offense to you, smartie, but do you really believe that the United States is some third world country that is living paycheck to paycheck? Yes, we have a huge debt but we're not broke. We have the ability to help those in need following something as catastrophic as the earthquake in Haiti and we care enough to do so. Everyone needs to stop micromanaging this country's resources based on the opinions of the talking heads. Our government generates money daily...we are not a poor nation with our hands out.

I don't understand your logic. We have huge debt, but we're not broke. If we have so much money, maybe we should pay off our debts. It's a shame we don't offer things to our own citizens, but want to help foreigners. I think the money going to Haiti should be used to fix our own problems.

Right, what you said is true... But I think that a Governament, in particular USA, had a reserve of money for this "special" occasion... So Obama can use this money to help the population of Haiti for this catastrophe.
