Hey guys. Our teacher gave us this assignment on how to plan a wedding. Unfortunately, my groupmates and I have no personal experience on planning a wedding. Plus, our relatives who already got married live far away and are busy with their work and families. We can't bother them and ask them to help us. Maybe you can help us. Do you have any idea what are the steps on how to make a wedding happen? We really need your help. Thanks.

In my opion, you should go through the following steps to prepare your wedding. First, you must prepare the wedding house where you will live with your lover after the wedding ceremony. Second, you may select the wedding dress and take some wedding dress photoes for memory. Third, you need to reserve the wedding ceremony hall and then send the invitation card to your guest. Forth, it is very important to prepare the wedding rings for your couple.

Oh yes indeed.. the wedding rings are very important. They are after all the symbol of the couples' commitment to each other.

Hi. I think you should firstly buy a wedding dress. You can go to my photos to see the wedding dresses. Then take some wedding-photos. Third step, you can marry with your lover. This is simple informations. You can discuss with me about more.

I guess those are the super important steps. But how about getting the marriage license? or the venue for the reception and stuff like that

This is based on personal experience, so I'm not sure whether we did right or not =). First and foremost, you have to settle how much is your budget for the wedding. List down all the expenses which you will incur. Allot a portion for each possible expense. All the things needed in a wedding will depend on the budget. Next, you have to find a suitable and most convenient church (that is if your going to have a catholic wedding) and reception venue & food. Both should be accessible, meaning, it should not be far from one another. Make sure that it is within your allotted budget. Please note that the food and venue will eat almost half of your budget so be wise and smart on finding a good place. Make sure also that you already booked both a year ahead especially if the chosen church and venue are well-known or commonly chosen for such event. Next is the wedding gown (you may opt not to get the coat and tie for the groom yet as it can be made a month or so unlike the gown), find a good couturier. What I did was I checked designs over the web, chose the best possible design (based on my opinion =P) and ask from friends for a good couturier. I got the design from houseofbride.com, good site if I may add, they have thousands of wedding gowns... Next is decide for your entourage, this will take time as you sure have a lot of friends who you want to be a part of your wedding ceremony. Be wise though as you need someone who will be always there for practice. Traditionally, your entourage should be helping you in wedding preparation so you must choose those who are much willing to participate. Once you have the complete list of your wedding entourage, including the liturgical entourage, you can now start to look for a good maker of invitations. Mind you, this one is a very stressful part of the preparation so MAKE SURE THAT YOU GOT A GOOD INVITATION MAKER. And then, find a creative Photo and Videographer. Next is the wedding cake, do not splurge too much here is you already have a dessert (which is already included in the set menu of your reception). Mine was just a 2-layered wedding cake which cost me PHP3k (USD65). Then, the flowers for the bride and the entourage. I opted not to get flower arrangement in church as they already provided the set-up which includes the flower and arrangement. Arrangements such as the bridal car rental, hotel accomodation, honeymoon trip and wedding license should also be prepared 3 months (at the least) before the wedding. Hope this help=P
